The reason this problem wont get fixed is as you said, women take themselves out of the equation. You cant fix a problem when you dont realize what the true problem is. @macadon I have a relative who was married to her husband for over a decade and found out he was having an affair with a woman who he had fathered a child with around the time they got married, and there were no red flags that he was being dishonest and unfaithful during the marriage. My parents were married 30 years. My father got addicted to prescription pain killers 20 years in. She tried to stand by him and help him sober up for 10 years before divorcing him.

most of the time dealing with (PA) when men get summoned to court, the woman didn't summon them, the city summons you, they want the money back that was given to the kid while the mom was on (PA), because some men do decide to run. Going through the court is even worst, do you think the courts just pay the woman...no..the man is summoned to court, they give him a set amout money paid. If he does not pay that court order the court does not give the women any money and they will hunt the man down.
Now it goes by income, because it can be a two parent home and they don't make over 15,000 a year with 3 kids, they will get public assistance, with my income I would have to have at least have 6 children no husband to have my papers taken into consideration. And i highly doubt anyone is going to say "fuck the father" for $200 and $200 worth of foodstamps, that they have go to a work program for it if they have no job, oh and once the woman does find a job they reduce the numbers again.

@macadon My mother and father were married, he left me when I was 2 and took all of the furniture. During my growing up he fathered my 4 other sisters. My mother brother my Uncle/ Dad ( i call him) help take care of me. I one day asked my uncle why did he do it, he told me because he was a man, and it does't matter if I didn't want to pay for you stuff, His dad told him " A man has no excuses" a man takes care of his family.

@macadon I have a relative who was married to her husband for over a decade and found out he was having an affair with a woman who he had fathered a child with around the time they got married, and there were no red flags that he was being dishonest and unfaithful during the marriage. My parents were married 30 years. My father got addicted to prescription pain killers 20 years in. She tried to stand by him and help him sober up for 10 years before divorcing him.

In some of these demographics there is a pervasive culture of irresponsibility pertaining to nuclear family structures, and these particular men think it's ok and acceptable, even manly to sleep around and not commit themselves to one woman, and these particular women think it's normal and ok for men to do that.

I loved the video and thank God that I have both my children in the home with me and the wifey. I was once told that we are no smarter than birds in a sense, let me explain. The mother bird and father find eachother and inspect for genes, etc They prepare the nest together and then the little ones come and they work to raise them. most of the time dealing with (PA) when men get summoned to court, the woman didn't summon them, the city summons you, they want the money back that was given to the kid while the mom was on (PA), because some men do decide to run. Going through the court is even worst, do you think the courts just pay the woman...no..the man is summoned to court, they give him a set amout money paid. If he does not pay that court order the court does not give the women any money and they will hunt the man down.

Now it goes by income, because it can be a two parent home and they don't make over 15,000 a year with 3 kids, they will get public assistance, with my income I would have to have at least have 6 children no husband to have my papers taken into consideration. @macadon I agree that women should close their legs and demand respect...BUT to say that the 60-75% rate of fatherless households across the black community is totally because of women is ridiculous. Forget the woman letting herself go too easily, the fact of the matter is that about THREE-FOUTHS of black men dont take care of their kids and that should have nothing to do with the moral state of the woman, its part of being a decent human being. And there's really nothing to argue that fact...

@bellefilleayisien What gets ignore is how u have men who wanna be in their kids lives but u have women who are either bitter or vindictive and keep the child away from their dad, then lie to their kids saying he didn't want to be around. U have women who don't know who the baby father is and wanting government assistants. All these fatherless children did not get into these situation only because the father didn't want to be around. So yes these women play a big part in this problem.

And people do change, so a woman that is married to a man for seven years decides he wants out and lives with another woman and doesn't take care of the kids its her fault, she should have known. Its neither fault when the other leaves but that not what happens mostly. Majority of these situations are not based on failed marriages let’s keep it real. It’s mostly due to not knowing who the father is, not letting the man be there out of bitterness not wanting his assist rather government assist.

That is why you have those answers with the thumbs up (on top) with different situations. And it does not matter You make a baby, male or female u take care of it, what is so hard to understand, it doesn't matter how the kid was made....It was not a test-tube agreement. Come pick the kid up, take it for weekend and go 50% on the supplies.

@macadon some cases u make be right, but if u like to keep it real more cases about that "child support money hungry baby mama" urban legend was made by guys who were not doing anything in the first place, spending time, nothing. (I doubt if the guy had no money and was spending time and picking up the kid, taking kid 2 park. You would get a peep out of her) But then when she does take him for support, without him being around for god know how long..then it's " SEE IT'S ALL ABOUT MONEY."

The courts are always in the women favor regardless of whatever BS story she come up to make herself the victim the rules would still favor her. @macadon My mother and father were married, he left me when I was 2 and took all of the furniture. During my growing up he fathered my 4 other sisters. My mother brother my Uncle/ Dad ( i call him) help take care of me. I one day asked my uncle why did he do it, he told me because he was a man, and it does't matter if I didn't want to pay for you stuff, His dad told him " A man has no excuses" a man takes care of his family.

Or a friend I know that father has 10 different kids by like 7 different women, none of the women knew of each other untill it was to late. I have a friend that dad had a hole other family for like 5 years and his mom didnt find out about the child until his dad was taken to court. I guess that is not his dad's fault either... when will they been seen as selfish you tell me.

@macadon because unlike the type of man you pity, My father told me the truth, I know my mother was his first wife, He was more street smart than my mother. My mom was into star trak, my mom was a nerd, my mom came from a old fashion two family home, and she was very sheltered. she knew him the whole time she was in college. He married her, she was a virgin, yes a virgin/ just because he was not there doesn't mean I never talk to him, seen him and asked him why, and not once did he blame my mom.

They were trying to make me for a year, he was working my due, they had a dog business on the side.... When I came, having a baby was a lot for him, didn't want to do it anymore, he missed being single, he missed buying for him...what don't u get....he told me....So i guess your going to say it's my fault now....lol

If a person is genuinely nice and sweet in the beginning, how is a women supposed to know that years down the line whether or not the man is going to all of a sudden do a 180. A woman's intuition won't pick up anything if there are no red flags. If there are no signs a woman will not know how her mate's true colors until he revels himself.

But, that attitude is what keeps the "separate stories" going - with no resolution to the issue. A more intelligent approach to this ongoing saga is to tell a balanced perspective (this goes for both men AND women). When you do this - men AND women - the other side's defensiveness starts to fall down, opening the door for real dialogue.

you are so rite.... in my situation he was there for the first five yrs, then i moved on and then he stopped being a father. so, he wasnt like this at first but whn i moved on, he felt like he didnt have to be daddy anymore. so, what do u have to say about that?

@macadon, no cheatin, no bighead, he has a job and a car and a house... I do also. but I leftd him becuz we couldnt agree on certain things... so I left like a yr ago... I have moved on. ever since i leftd , he hasnt been the "FATHER" like he use to..I have a fiance now and planning on getting married next year. He feels like he doesnt have to be daddy anymore. it sucks becuz my son always wants to spend time with him, but he is never there. is this my fault? i try to keep them together.

We agreed to seperate from each other. okay, now before we spit, he was always there for our child. buyin things, spendin time, and jus being there for him. but now since we are seperated he doesnt do any of those things. I call, he lies and says he is busy. okay.. i practically thro the child at him but he refuse to be there for him. its always 3sides of a story, mine his and the truth. but this what he does, is this my fault?
