The sharpshooter really hurts. There is no resistance to this submission hold. I had it put on me when I was little kid and as soon as my friend bent backwards it was pure agony. That move f-ing HURTS!

If the Sharpshooter is really, REALLY applied, it causes a hyper extension fracture in the spine and a hyper flexion tear in the knee. Not trying to make light of your plight though; when my bro did it to me it also frickin' hurt. I'm just glad I didn't know then what I know now! Hard to enjoy wrestling when you know how much you can hurt each other if you screw up :P

@JonnyBauer I think if I wouldn't have tapped, it would have broken my back. He heard me screaming and let go. All I could do was tap, I couldn't even think to fight, that's how bad it hurt LOL! In pro wrestling, all the guys do is wrap their opponent's legs in a vine and role them over, then they squat. That doesn't hurt at all except for a lil pressure on the legs.

For this to really work without your opponent actually letting you put him in that position you must be very fast and he has to suck a lot.

@JTC31290 They're very similar to one point. Same position, only with a heel hook you lock the heel between bicep and forearm and twist the leg causing torque on the knee. With the ankle lock, you put your hand under his calf and arch your back putting pressure on the ankle. But yea, once in that position you can go for either one.
