I like the way the singing is,the ACCENT,because I'm American,right? I saw Stratford Mercenaries in 1999 ( still have the ticket stub) and I'm a fan of the band. I hope I can go to Europe some day. I like the way the English people talk and sing ( the bands) !! I'm not sure where Stratford England is though ? I'll look it up!!

Steve Ignorant is a nice man. I think people talk shit about crass for being too thoughtful and not perpetuating the bullshit Vivian from the youngones, exploited sort of posturing. Crass influenced me in may ways, and the more I learn about the world the more I see much of what they preached to be true. Anarchism for me is throwing out your t.v. and being sensitive to all life. P.S. Steve well talk to you before and after a show, buy him a beer for all that he's done.

for all you kids that think this is crass its not. that is steve ignorant but its his other band called Stratford Mercenaires. They've been around for some time and toured the U.S a few times, the last time was around the year 2000. The band is made up of guys that were in other great bands i.e, Dirt, Buzzcocks, SS Trolleys, and Doom.

if you buy the dvd 'the day the country died' a history of anarcho punk, there is about 2 minutes of crass footage. there's not much crass footage going around. if you want to see some great photos of the band from back in the day go to the crass forum which is on the southern records website.

I saw Crass on the "Coal not Dole" gig in Aberdare in South Wales. Their songs and ethos stand as one of the purest forms of anarchistic (in the positive and uplifting way) that have ever existed. All their tunes still stand up. I heard that Steve is now a carpet fitter somewhere in Wales. Whatever, or where ever he and and the rest of the band are at I wish to thank them for enlightening me.
