@v8chevy350 Interesting coincidence that you should make this suggestion. I am planning to hire a cut-away electro-acoustic guitar over the Christmas break to see if I like it. I would like to try it with pretty heavy strings tuned to open d. I generally have my Ibanez guitar and amp set pretty neutral with no fancy effects and I don't tune it up loud, so electro-acoustic might be the way to go to improve my tone. Thanks for your interest and encouragement. It's greatly appreciated.
@v8chevy350 I have tried a light glass slide which was pretty poor. Then, I got a heavy glass slide, which I like a lot. I also have a really heavy chrome metal tone bar for playing the guitar on my lap, which is pretty good.
Really enjoying your music, Phil. You have a great, smooth, relaxed and very soulful style.

Nice original. Every think of getting a hollowbody or Dobro in place of the ibanez?

@carsickphil Good choice! I feel the Coricidin(dunlop-blues bottle) is the only thing that I feel is a great weight and sound.
