Joe and the Gang are so Rocking. and also when Joe was solo. Joe Walsh what a Master. I think he was the 1st. Hippie,to hit this earth.I will never get tired of playing his music, If it is James Gang or Joe solo. He is great with the Eagles too.But I guess as he got older he is kind of laid back,But I will always dig Joe's Music.
Every band in America had this in their repertiore in the early to mid 70's. You couldn't go to a bar and not hear this. Nothing compared to the live version on the "James Gang Live in Concert" though. In fact, the whole album was [is] great, especially when the volume is cranked up. Wore out two vinyls and an 8 track in those days.
Best band Walsh ever had...I enjoy all his work (except with the shitty Eagles), but these guys had a chemistry and inter-play that could not be topped....they kicked major ass
@bluematter Sorry no this wouldn't be a hit today...to have a hit today you must not be able to sing, play an instrument, or write songs. James Gang did all 3, more than any crap artist today
@bluematter the only problem with that questions is: the commmunication comapnies that own the radio stations would never alllow this s ong/record to be played... their gripe? " it doesn't fit in with the format we have !"

For a little history, the drummer was Jimmy Fox. He founded the band, and it was named after him.

@NorskeDrummer I always thought they were named after the gang of bank and train robbers. Jesse James and his gang.

Try to sing and play that at the same time......good luck....
yousaiditzero 2 years ago
@yousaiditzero it's not that hard actually...hard songs to play and sing at the same time are ones where the vocal melody don't match the guitar riff
