  • Very Seriously Good machine. I've put the RT bars on my RS and it's much more comfortable than with the autobahn bars. I've got a spare one I'm about to start a weight reduction program on. Looking forward to that.......

  • Same colour and spec as mine, but I'm just in the last stretches of making her roadworthy. It's good to see these classics still being loved and ridden.

  • My favourite BMW bike. The mighty base K100.

  • How hard would the K100 be for a beginner to ride? My dream bike will always be any BMW K series bike.

  • @TheJoeyEmilyShow

The K100 might be a little too much for an absolute beginner to ride. It is kind of heavy for what it is, but much easier to manage than a fully-faired touring bike. It is a smooth and comfortable ride. I think a K-bike might be something to aspire to after you have a few miles under the tires of a smaller and lighter motorcycle. If you have a chance to sit on a K100 or ride a K-bike, that might help you decide what is best for you. But they ARE great motorcycles!

  • I really want a handlebar like yours. I have the RS "euro short-pull back" type bar, and it's so narrow - makes me feel unstable.

Sorry for the delay in replying. This wider handlebar is pretty comfortable. No handling issues and it gives a decent amount of fine control in the turns. Not twitchy at all.
