  • Gus Edwards was my great great uncle , I have been hearing about him my whole life from my grandmother .Thanks to the internet I have realized all his accomplishments .. I couldn't believe all he has done ... Look on my page I actually have some videos of him from the 20s : ) By the way ,,My name is Mitch Edwards .. And it was because of him it was changed from a Jewish last name

  • que hermosas comedias musicales de los buenos tiempo

  • A joy to see. The clip inspires for me nostalgia, perspective on life and events in the world since then as well as a deeper appreciation for Clark Gables talents and his role in American cinema of that period.

  • My great great uncle wrote the song "BY the light of the silvery moon " Crazy but very true : )

  • @Mitch0115 Was your uncle Gus Edwards or Edward Madden? In either case, the song

is a wonderful piece of Americana. Was the title of a Doris Day movie when I was young.

No vaudeville show could have afforded a cast as large as in the clip. Especially one

    with Clark Gable in it.

Clark did a couple of dance numbers through the years. Two actors who started out as

hoofers on Broadway were George Raft and Clifton Web.

    thanks for the fun post.

  • My great great uncle wrote that song ...Crazy but true !
