You're wrong, kiddo. It's a tweak on a band's from an indie So-Cal called Message of the Blues called "L.A.". The original song is way better than the BP one. Give them their propers. Where did you come up with the company making the song?? You can hear and purchase the original on their MySpace page, look for messageoftheblues
The song is a remix created by the company based on a song by a L.A. band called 'Message of the Blues'. It was originally "L.A." instead of "Say Hey".
This is not cute. If you like this, you're probably a mindless blonde with a tiny dog. In which case, you need to be exterminated for the good of society.
This is so ill!.It's so brilliant.Every single time that I watch this commercial it just makes my day a little better.I <3 it! And, it's such a great song~*(=^-^=)*~
What I've never understood about this ad is why are babies driving, and better yet, why have they driven so much that they have a preference as to which brand of gas they purchase?
they don't choose the other brands b/c they looked mean, it's not really they care what brand they do, some brands looked evil and bp looked warm and inviting to them, the gas things were happy=D
hey...i just figured out something..try this, its really cool...i played "family guy star wars gangsta rap" and downsized it so i could still hear it, then played it while the volume was down on this. it went together almost perfectly! try it!
It's one of the coolest people you could ever hope to meet, John Nau singing it - who is most notably the keyboard player on the Hootie and the Blowfish Cracked Rear View album, and leader of one of the best LA jam bands from the 90's - Zoo People, search around for some of their downloads - you won't be disappointed. This song will hopefully lead to the release of some other AWESOME work by John for the general public, at least that would be the hopes of this Jersey boy...
Sorry, it's not an actual... studio song. Like most commercials, it was a short song made specifically for the advertisement. Just, a very well-done song.
The music was written for BP by Beacon Street Studios. The song is performed by Message of the Blues, and another version of the song, entitled "LA" can be heard at their myspace page -
My stepmom works for the company that's in this ad. She works in the company's Wayne, NJ office, where it used to be called Castrol NA. She does computer work using spreadsheets, and I'm happy that she like the new ad because it portrays BP as a happy oil company rather than a fierce one as portrayed by Exxon's tiger or Shell's oil refineries.
people need to upload more clips like this. I prefer funnier stuff myself, check out dolphinhump. lostfrog . com , I laughed so hard I got kicked out of class! haha.
yeah, i agree that the song is really nice. I looked for it but it turns out the song is just for the commercial. :( I hope the creators make it a single and release it.
At :08, pause it. On the dashboard there's 3 meters. The camera zooms on the gas meter to show it's empty, but look at the other 2 meters. The icon of the top-left meter is a diaper, & the needle is past full. The icon of the bottom-left meter is a baby bottle, and it is empty. Because there's babies in the car, it's a funny gag. However it's also true to gas stations because at most of them you can use a bathroom and buy milk. How clever!
This is such a cute little song/ video. Unfortunately after doing some research i found out that this song is an original and was written for this commercial, so there's no artist or anything you can look up and check into.
Is it just me, or do the gas pumps look like iPods? Will that be the new purpose for the iPod, to download gas into your car? This song is really catchy. They should release it as a single.
