I got one for christmas and it is AWSOME! it plays music,videos,takes pictures,takes videos,is an e book.the only bad thing about it is that it has no games.:(

I have the Eclipse 200SL, which is just like your Trio. Not a bad player for the money. Thank you for explaining how to work the volume. I wondered how to do it. My 1st question is, I know it's compatiable with ITunes and I have loaded music from ITunes but how do you get videos from ITunes onto it? I thought I could drag and drop it in my Eclipse mp3 file and I did but it is not showing in it when I turn my mp3 player on. 2nd question, will the nano protective case work on these?

does this require initial charging? you seem to have started it out of the box... also how long should it be charged? Does it tell you when it's done charging?

Nice job on the review. I was wondering if u knew the proper way to open this up? Mine has a bit of dust on the inside of the screen I would love to clean it. I replaced the battery on my old iPod that got stolen :-( but this one doesn't seem to be that easy. Thanks for any advise and again good job on ur review (I'm not impressed with the buttons either).

Yea I have one too...the nano can take video but doesn't take photos like this one...one thing I wuld recommend is whatever button you press make sure your finger is at the very edge of the buttons except for the center button...btw is it possible to hack it?

The player has a manual on it. Connect it to your computer, then use the PC Windows Explorer to find the drive the Trio is on. The manual is in the folder "J:\tools and manual"

Also, to get to the sub menu, you need to be patient and hold the center button for 5 seconds.

Overall, a pretty good player. The screen scratches VERY easily, so get some screen protector material if you plan on keeping this long-term.

Yup!

To get to Sub Menu...WHILE PLAYING something (i.e Music, Video,) or, while you are in cameras...press & hold center, OK/Volume button!

After reading book OVER & OVER till I know it by heart, I realized that there IS a similar, VERY vague & BRIEF description, under "notes" on page5 of Manual.

AND once you see it, you'll wonder HOW you missed it! LOL

Oh, well...just 1 of those reading, but not SEEING things, I guess!

I just got one & am pretty Impressed, except>..How do you get to the "Sub-Menu" settings. It in manual, it describes what settings are in sub-menus for the different modes, but not how to get TOO them! (that I see, anyway)

For example setting music AB settings & shuffle.
