charger would only make as much power as the motor is allowing it to since it runs off the crank pulley. these motors are pretty big (2.4l) so they can make a lot more power with a turbo since they have the displacement to spool up a large turbo quicker

some people need to go study here on superchargers and turbos. superchager usually have a broder power band to where a turbo is in the top end or higher rpm both make power and use power to make it depending on the setup with either you could make horsepower without sacrificing alot to make it

You dont NEED lagg on a turbo, they give you more power and burn less fuel.

Supercharger takes power from the engine, while a turbo just takes use of a sideproduct.

if engine produces 300BHP then with a supercharger uve lost probaly 30 at least, just to run it, while a turbo would boost it up to 320 and use nothing.(almost)

no, when turbos spool up they pull hard , you see it all the time like on a big block v8 running twin turbos those will still kick out side ways and spin the tires all the way down a 1/4 mile track . compared to a super charger that doesnt .

yea, ytou can run 7 lbs on a light tune, just get your turbo kit for the piping/intercooler, and source a garret(or whatever u prefer) .. all the equiptment to do the tune yourself, run the piping and intercooler n filter, the turbo AND new rings/bearings and HG can be had for under 1500, which is what sr swaps are going for. so instead of having to go through all the rigamoroo of the sr swap, im going to stick to the k and lightly boost it(will be plenty fast)

no actually the sr is still cheaper. if you do the ka the right way, with a standalone instead of a piggy back, or even a rom tune, youre look at about 3k-4k just to boost a ka u cant even run over 10psi. im all for the ka cuz they make great power numbers on boost. its just overall there is a huge aftermarket on the sr making lots of parts easy to find and cheap, that cant be said for the ka however

ok, i would like every second of my life back that, that stupid video took up. there were 46,. y the hell would you supercharge a k a when turboing it makes 230 to the wheels at 7psi. damn if you have money to waste throw it my way. and you can turbo a ka24e. it has lower compression than the de and produces more torque with the same hp. it was unique though ill give you that, but i would have atleast used a procharger to keep some dignity

you have to put low compression pistons,because KA24E come with high compression pistons, put some KA24DE pistons,they are low compression.
