V unfortunately didn't have that old Myst feel that the previous 4 games had..in my opinion. The story was immersive enough but the look and feel just wasn't the same. It's a must play for any fan of Myst anyway. 3 and 4 are the best in my opinion.

Cyan studios needs to show these people how to make a real puzzle game; pre-rendered scenes and trippy surrealism. Give fans of the old Myst games something new to cherish, not this ugly 3D experience trying to be like grandpa Myst

Worst game of the series. Period. So sad. Re-imagining gameplay, inventing a tangent (and somewhat convoluted) storyline, and forgetting universal story, character and plot guidelines, established and followed in each of the previous editions, is not what you call a "Grand Finale." You call that a different game altogether. Why didn't they just call this "Uru: End of Ages," and let the Myst series alone?? Such a let-down.

The other Myst games look better than this one. But what do I know? I've never played it. It does look kind of... Suckish though. Lol

@123Doodle890 It is better than it looks. I played it and the choice you have to make in the end is like that of the original Myst game. 2 obvious 1 not so obvious.

I like this game This game reminds me of uru and myst 4 and actually this game myst 5 is lot more challenging. As i play more of it i forget even uru was made :P man i disliked that game but i find a myst 4 feel for the game and the story is good so far. 5 STARS IN MY BOOK

I thought the game was quite good personaly. The story is very interesting and immersive. I was disappointed with some of the almost cartoon looking graphics of trees, but thats also how URU Live is. But I still think areas of this game and URU can be imaginative and visualy pleasing. But the important thing is that the story blends the worlds of Myst together.

Ubisoft?! They didn't do frack-all... they just provided funding, credit should always go to Cyan!

Ubisoft is pretty much like Blizzard and Square Enix now... all business and no game...

Cyan Worlds chose game over gold... (so to speak)... which is why they're dieing out of course :P but it's good to see commitment to the game, and not to the business of making the game.

yikes. i didn't even know this was out. really does look awful. is this done by someone other than the miller brothers? or did those two just go and lose their minds or something? this is not the myst i remember.

@chusidhe Yeah, this was done by Cyan. It ties in more with Uru than with Myst. That + limited budget = not the most awesome Myst game.

I have the game, but not installed atm. I played it before.

Even though it is animated, I believe there is a game setting that allows you to move around like previous games.

I wasnt to annoyed by the 3D characters though, they were done well IMO

I may have not liked Myst V as much as the previous games. Riven - Myst IV are my favorites.

But even though URU "was" a animated game, it allowed "You" to enter D'ni. Which was really cool for Myst fans, until the game had to stop.

Seriously? Not even real people? Wow. Up through Revelations it was getting better and better and better as far as graphics go. Suddenly come Uru and End of Ages and everything falls down to the lows of normal game animations and looses the aspect that makes it real for me. I don't think it's worth getting for that reason alone.

I agree too, I've enjoyed Riven and Myst III, soon even Myst IV. But I don't really feel the urge to buy Myst V. It's ugly as hell compared to the former games, and since it isn't an action game, a 3D-environment isn't necessary. So i prefer images and animations instead of this. And what's the deal with the freaking stone tablets? Man, this isn't Myst...
