I see what your saying but youd have to be pretty ignorant to not know this song was written by John Lennon. So, its the peoples falt, not the artists.
He covered this song for the album "Instant Karma" and it was put out by Amnesty International and the Money went towards their "Save Darfur" campaign. The CD is entirely made up of John Lennon covers, if you bought the cd then you are entirelyh aware that this is a cover. There are like 3 or 4 different covers of this song on the album and this is hands down the best one. That said I do think that everyone that listens to this goes and looks up John Lennon's version bc it's amazing.
I think that the only part that my teacher took out was the word hell. The kids that I went to school with would not have used it properly. I think your voice is great. I wrote a few songs that you could sing. Thanks for the reply on my reply.

This song may say "no religion too"
But I think as to what this statement means is up for debate. It could mean that the tedious religion that we are all to familiar with is creating division. We should focus more on belief then religion. Belief and Religion are two completely diffrent things. Religion is imposed on someone, while belief is something an individual person creates for themselves.

To be fully honest, religion is the best word we have that functions as an antonym for science. To be religious, is to have beliefs that are unsupported by evidence, and to defend these beliefs even in the presence of opposing evidence. This method of approach to truth creates nothing but corruption and bias. Religion in itself is a source of corruption, bias and division. This song does not propose a solution, only points out some obvious human problems. Religion being one.

The proof is in the pudding. Atheists are not telling a fib, so I'm merely saying that self-identified atheists should be taken at their word. If you say you are an atheist, you are an atheist. Nothing more, nothing less. "Imagine" is definitely anti-religion. "Imagine there's no heaven..." "No religion, too." I think John realized that religion was a source of division and violence. I'm not saying he was right, but the message of the song is straightforward -- no nationalism, no religion.

Lovely song! I do not think that there is any atheist message in the song 'Imagine'. I perceive the lyric "And no religion, too" as no religion to die for. Just my opinion.

Is Jack atheist? Probably. Covering "Imagine" is a powerful statement, but there are other clues.

I think most people saying they are an atheist actually want to say that they follow agnosticism which says that it is impossible to answer the "god-question" and that this question also does not matter for mankind. I personally believe in agnosticism and i think jack too. Deep inside, every human being wishes that there's a greater sense or a god, but for our time on earth, it does matter if there is one or if there isn't. So, let's have a peaceful time together.

He covered this song for the album "Instant Karma" and it was put out by Amnesty International and the Money went towards their "Save Darfur" campaign. The CD is entirely made up of John Lennon covers, if you bought the cd then you are entirelyh aware that this is a cover. There are like 3 or 4 different covers of this song on the album and this is hands down the best one. That said I do think that everyone that listens to this goes and looks up John Lennon's version bc it's amazing.
