  • What were the winds that day... A lightly loaded 757 will almost hang in the air with it all hanging out but that 757 appeared to practicly just be standing still it had such a low ground speed.

  • those air force pilots are truly the best

  • I never realized Three Mile Island is that close to HIA. That is pretty scary being that we are in a post 9/11 world.

  • A touch and go, is a touch down on the run way and and taking off again as the video depicts. The point is to hone the pilots take off and landing abilities.

  • whats a touch and go? And what's the point of it?

  • I shot a pic of this jet flying very low (looked like it was comming in for a crash landing) 20 miles outside of Bangor Maine today. I had no idea what the jet was but got a picture of it before it went out of sight, and this is the only Aircraft that resembles it (at first I found AIRFORCE 1 but the one I saw only gas one jet engine on each wing?)

  • @akashavow I was very surprised either way. I cant find any mention of Air force 1 or 2 being scheduled to come to maine this month tho, maybe a touch and go at KBGR?

  • Why not use the other 747 for the vice president instead of the tiny one? There's two of them.

  • @Guywhowearsunderwear

the other 747 aircraft (it's actually known as the VC-25 since it is a heavily modified 747-200B) is used as a decoy when the President goes on a trip that requires it. The modified 757 (or C-32, as it should be called) in the above video is often used for the Vice President and other high-ranking government officials, although it has been used to carry the President. I recently had the privilege of watching the C-32 land at my local airport with president Obama on board.

  • @AviationNation787 That's cool. One way to cut down on fuel emissions. They should revert that giant 747 to this type instead.

  • @Guywhowearsunderwear it seems they are doing it again today, only with the 747; i can see the approach out my appartment window. accompanying it is what appears to be a large tanker/refeuller that loiters as the 747 does its thing.

  • There's the plane, formally used as Air Force Two.

  • This aircraft diverted to TJBQ today in PR, to re-fuel, pitty i wasn;t there to film it.

  • Air Force One is the call sign for any AIR FORCE craft that the President of the United States is on...Air Force two is the call sign for any AIR FORCE craft that the Vice President of the United States is on...end of story. When the President or Vice President is not on any AIR FORCE craft they are S.A.M. (Special Air Mission) and then thier tail number!

  • I love that 757 with winglets..I love that size of Air Force 2 or Air Force 3. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton has been using this one on her trips. It is a great airplane. The new normal shows the important plane whatever it is.

  • They always practice touch and goes a few times a month at ILM (Wilmington, N.C. International Airport.)

  • @Sreybk - yeah we get it at Kinston, NC Airport, to (ISO). We also get the US State Department 737, and the CIA planes (757 & 737).

  • Haha nice I got a Vid of Airforce one landing in HIA too but its raining

  • Air Force Two is the air traffic control call sign used by any United States Air Force aircraft carrying the Vice President, but not the President

  • you took that rite out of wikipedia

  • theres no such thing as air force two. whatever airplane the pres is on is air force one. if he commandeers a cessna 172, guess what that becomes..... and by the way that 737 can also carry vip's like generals and such.
