  • I knew the words to this when I was 5 and still know it at 28.. thanks Pop!! Miss you!

  • @HughMungus2k9 He was my favorite from the time I was a young teen... and I'm 43 now! Love him!

  • Beautiful song...

  • ronnie always has been an inspiration great country thats timeless greetings to all my country brothers and sisters

  • Another great tune from a great artist, they don't make em like this anymore.

  • I just found out that the girl I really care about has a bad habit of looking for guys to sleep with other than me. This song helped me get some of the pain out of my system. Always does. One day I'll find someone who loves me, until then, this song helps me deal with things. Thank you for posting it.

  • @thesugarbuzzproject dump her and hurt now and get it over quik rather drag it out - let blues music heal you try Lonnie Johnson for starters it works!

  • @Bluejuneymoon We never actually were together. It just still hurts, ya know? But yes. Blues is good. Jazz is as well. :)

  • @thesugarbuzzproject There is a website call revengeworld where you can post nked pictures of her there for everyone to enjoy- the more humiliating the better. You can send the link to her parents even!

  • @kingofallwhites lol. I'm not that kind of a jerk...whether she deserves it or not. Probably why I listen to crap like this...music for nice guys who are just unlucky. Heh.

  • Wow. I miss great songs and singers of yesterday. No Taylor Swift crap then....

  • Good Stuff.

  • A very very very great take of Chuck Jackson hit.. I LOVE IT

  • Never appreciated his voice more...

  • GOD BLESS YOU RONNIE! Someday you will be one of the brightest STARS in heaven. You have been blessed greatly here on earth but your rewards that await you in heaven will be immeasurable. Much Love!

  • Ronnie Milsap rules!!!

  • Voice of gold...

  • It's so sad Ronnie's blind, too bad he can't see these amazing music videos. They don't make em like this anymore

  • goodbye my love

  • I miss the greats from yesterday like Ronnie, Anne Murray, Emmylou Harris

  • Great song by Ronny. The maid reminds me of one of Robert Palmers girls, kind of.

  • i just got a mean nostalgic boner

  • ah, ha, gotta love the milsap!

  • im 33 and my mom loved this and it really is some great music. reminds me of the old days lol ronnie is the best

  • Great song! Sheldon66 is right, Anyone who starts looking around for someone else whilst in a relationship doesn't deserve to be in the present one. Put everthing into the relationship and if it goes up in smoke through no fault of yours, you've lost nothing, that person does not deserve you. good luck @doublevisionandco

  • What a great song whos the lady in the video walking around in the nitty shes hot.Its to bad people have to buy siruis radio to hear good classic country any more

  • viva ronnie milsap!

  • What is this song about?

  • those glasses are pimp

  • Ronnie does a nice job with this, but I still prefer the original performed by Chuck Jackson, an R&B singer, from the summer of 1962.

  • The best Ronnie Milsap song, and maybe even the best country song. Even people who don't like country music have to sing along to this one.

  • Beautiful! just the sweetest tune!

  • Love the song, it's a classic. Hehas the best voice in country/ pop music. I have a great deal of respect for ole Ronnie since he's come so far in life.......and since he's from my neck of the woods! (western N.C.)

  • I don't know why, but i really needed here this song right now.

They don't make awesome music like this anymore :))))

  • 1982 never sounded so good!!! This record still sounds great today.

  • @JonKonLA ..great year for music--HUGE, and magical time of music for me especially being 6 years old. his voice is a golden voice.

  • Love this song and video it makes me part of the song____ Love it Marcel; L

  • YOUNGER TIMES!!

  • beautiful song..wonderful artist...lov his voice...

  • This song came out when I was about 16. LOVE the music from this era. Now that I'm aging I keep thinking, If I could just go back and do it over. Who knows, My life could have turned out even worse. : (

  • When I was a kid this song was all over the radio. I was heavy into rock and roll so I would turn the station. Fast farward 26 years later. The love of my life and I were on the phone and I knew something was up. And I said to her "I want to sing a song for you, it speaks about what I see coming" and I put this song on and sang to it. She denied she had any plans to end it. 6 months of taking her abuse, lies and aggravation later she ended it. it`s been 4 years and I haven`t recovered yet.

  • @DoubleVisionandco ..........dude! Sad story for sure! But come on..4 years?? Pull yourself together, pick up your toys, dust yourself off and get back in the game! You must recover! The way I see it, do you really want to be with someone like that? Likely not. Anyway, Ronnie would love your story. Peace brother.

  • @Sheldon66 It took me 4 years...some people are different than others you know...

  • @Sheldon66 Ronnie is one of the greatest men you will ever want to meet. His wife is by his side at all times. No sad story between them. Have you heard his new project? He still sounds good.!!!!!!

  • @DoubleVisionandco I agree with Sheldon. If she was lying to you, abusing you, and causing you so much aggravation, I think it's a relationship you needed to get out of. Believe me, I understand your pain. I was divorced a little over a year ago from the woman whom I thought had loved me. It was only after she left did I realize just what a self-centered person she is and how cruel she had been to me for years. Yeah, it still hurts but I know I'm better off without her.

  • Between 2:32 and 2:42, I love the way the lady raises her chin/jaw twice. If she's playing the heartbreaker in this video, I think it's better for Ronnie that he can't see how sexy she is.

  • I love Ronnie Milsap's music..It is AWESOME...I am looking for 1 particular song he had on an album in 1976. That was a great album. The song is 20/20 vision that is also the name of the album..Does anyone where I could possibly find this..I wore out 2-8 track tapes and the album..Have been looking for years for another. Thanks

  • Thumbs up if you came here from 402Thunder402

  • MEPublishing thank you for sharing the music of this great, he is wonderful.

  • This song is the song that I listened to after the love of my life left.

  • love it forever

  • nice song...so sad.

  • I remember this from many days ago! Great song!

  • COUNTRY MUSIC ISN'T THE SAME ANYMORE!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!! I MISS THE 80'S!! :)

  • @pobbisqawbi Yes, but remember that this was not originally written as C&W, but by one of the premier songwriters of the 20th century, Burt Bacharach. Milsap just happened to sing the most beautiful version of it. Cheers :-)

  • GREAT song, and that's one hot lady.

  • man, ronnie milsap is just fucking great.

  • Ronnie's best!. I love it!

  • Brings back memories for me of a year ago as my marriage was falling apart. I have always liked this song, but I can appreciate it even more now that I've lived longer.

  • thunder toro anyone?

  • @gbyanks yeppers

  • Wow, songs like this are rare these days. Sooooo mellow.

  • It's a fine line between country...pop...or whatever these days. Ronnie and the Eagles sure did break a lot of ground for us today. There are some styles that stand the test of time and.....

  • Really nice song.

  • Beautiful song by Ronnie Milsap...thanks for posting.

    Brings back precious memories..

  • The Best Country Singer (for decades). ;)

  • video is excellent, matches the song. Ronnie has a gorgeous voice..

  • Always the sign of a so so record ........want it to sell........add a few sexy scenes in the video

  • what a boaring video! .... yup, it's looks she leaving him for the maid !!!! Both girls are beautiful in the video, I could make a better video to this sad song....

  • cheers to Ronnie Milsap! A true musician and artist for the ages!

  • @crazygirl5686 Could you have made a better video in the 80's ??? The camera they used was about the size a of a cement truck.. Music videos were brand new when this came out..... Remember video killed the radio star.!

  • you know , i can take it or leave it

  • Bland and no feeling...................no soul

  • @soulstar1963 Are you talking about Ronnie?? I hope not because if so you're a true dumbass...

  • I dedicate this song to all my past loves, they all were special and I loved them all and there is one that my heart still grieves for. Anna Marie: Died 2004 oh how I miss her and will until I die.

  • my mom loved this guy like teen girls love Justin Bieber these days. Ronnie is a legend! I love his music. Epic!

  • Excellent song, video only okay.

  • great upload of ronnie....thanks......

  • For a minute there, I thought she was gonna leave him for the maid.

Now that would have been an interesting video...

    Hehehe...

Lovely song though, and a good video.

  • one of my favorite Ronnie Milsap songs.

  • Very nice song and video, thanks

  • The guy in the mirror with the Stach is my Dad

  • nice hair. he had to keep his ears warm

  • I'd forgotten how much I like this song.

    Thanks

  • "love will let me down"

  • <3 Ronnie Milsap, old school. Thanks for posting.

  • Just saw Ronnie Saturday night in Vegas. What a freakin show. His back was killing him and he put on a one and a half hour show. When he went off people clapped for 1/2 hour to get an encore. I only found out about his back when I got a chance to talk to his bass player. The music never stopped. What a performance. My hands are still soar.

  • I remember when this video came out in the 80's. Great song, and have always wondered who the lady is. Read through all the comments and still no answers. Haven't seen this video for 20+ years.

  • think this is my fav by him

  • *swoon*

  • i remember this song from my childhood. never knew it was a cover tho.

  • What a gorgeous song by Ronnie (I've always loved his voice and his music is absolutely wonderful).

  • Glad to find this song posted on here! I love Ronnie's music, he's a classic!

  • that broad needs to be banged so bad.

  • @kevhart12. Agreed. Great memories. @Telaisit. It's the Madison Avenue invasion of a music that was created by the people, for the people (the common man), and by the people. Designer haircuts and Paris originals defining C&W? Be serious. C&W has definitely been hijacked.

  • Country music sure has changed. . .

  • classic country should be taught in schools - i missed out but catching up now

  • What a great song....

  • great song

  • Freddy Mercury THE BEST... Ronnie a close second...my favorite singers

  • Such a sad song but a great one

  • Ronnie Rocks love his music does any one know about what age Ronnie is right now?

  • Well am I a sick bastard or what? but did he get to bang the maid and his mistress????

  • Comment removed

  • wow that was almost deep i like him too but never thought about the sex thing.

  • uhmm what im sayin is im sure he got plenty of ass if he wanted it,but i dont think he was that type of guy.i listen to his music because i like the music and the lyrics but the lyrics probaly got me first.who cares if someone whats to blow him?

  • gorgeous!

  • wants,lol

  • God this guy is SO talented and his music hits me where I live,I've been through what he sings about . GOOD music !!!!

  • Good voice-but not as soulful as Chuck Jackson`s.Jackson`s voice was richer and fuller like Ruffin`s or Howlin Wolf`s.

The video was stupid. The girl seemed vain and frivolous.Unworthy of the obsessive love given to her in the song.

  • Yes Unfortunately Ronnie Milsap is Blind. But that didn't stop him from being one of the best country music singers of All TIme. Thank you Ronnie for all the Number One Hits. You are amazing and so tallented. May God continue to bless you. You are awesome.

  • beautiful song. can someone tell me where can i find Milsap's "in love" from 1986 in video .thanks a lot.

  • He is such a wonderful singer :)

  • the most current fight from me and my girlfriend,, this song defined it. it was exactly how i felt. every single word and line.

    liveon forever ronnie~!

  • There was a TV program with the same name title "Any Day Now" It aired from 1998-2002, was on for 60 minutes. Annie Potts, Lorriane Toussiant, (they were the man charachters) It was a pretty good show, I hated that they took it off the air. I think the MAIN charachter (Annie Potts) wanted to do other programs. (I've seen her on Law & Order) that's why the show is no longer on the air, but I thought it was a pretty good show.

  • Cont. Also hear: Almost Like A Song, Back On My Mind, Why Don't You Spend The Night, My Heart, Smoky Mt. Rain, No Gettin' Over Me, I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World, Inside, Stranger In My House, Don't You Know How Much I Love You, Still Losing You, Prisoner Of The Highway, She Loves My Car, She Keeps The Home Fires Burning, Lost In The 50s, How Do I Turn You On, Where Do The Nights Go, & Are You Lovin' Me Like I'm Lovin' You! He Got You should be posted; 2 vids were here, but got deleted!

  • A single that helped define country-pop, Any Day Now went Country #1 & was the #1 Adult Contemporary Song of the Year on 1982. It also went #14 on the Hot 100. Perhaps it was too soon or too late. Maybe it was the wrong instrument. For pop radio, the solo should've been an electric guitar/saxophone/synthesizer instead of a harmonica; it probably would've been #1! Here's some proof that if I had to vote for a 'King of Country-Pop', it'd be Ronnie Milsap, and the others should leave! To be cont.

  • the best

  • milsaqp is great the still of the night is the best ever

  • Ronnie I love you!!!!!!

  • it's nice of burt reynolds to make a cameo in this video at 1:00

  • With so many great hits, i wish there were more official videos available.

  • Folks, this song sums up that gut wrenching, stomach torn into knots feeling you have when you realize the relationship is over...

  • Is this song considered pop or country?

  • @Ravenluc

yes sir, a man's heart runs deeper than the deepest river when it comes to losing a woman.

  • @Ravenluc

damn brother, you got that right.

  • @Ravenluc yeah well ya can end that feeling by killing yourself

  • @Ravenluc Man your right!!!

  • did you know elvis also recorded this song? i met ronnie milsap once and had the chance to actually talk to him, and he spoke of elvis, and told me something i didnt know, that he did the piano in the studio for the king for the song KENTUCKY RAIN, isnt that cool. he also makes jokes about himself being blind, he is such a GREAT entertainer, and nice man, and his music is great

  • Oh That's great, (that you met him), I NEVER knew he was blind. Thanks for sharing this with us

  • @i1b2c3 no ya didnt ya fucking lying bastard

  • @i1b2c3 I just listened to the Elvis version. BOTH versions are awesome.

  • @i1b2c3 Yes, he does make jokes about being blind. I saw an interview in which he said that when he met his wife "It was love at first sound."

  • Comment removed

  • What does arnold schwarzenager have to dowith this? I dont know if he can pl;ay the piano and i know he cant play it as good as ronnie and i seriously doubt he can sing he dont have the voice for it

  • This song holds a lot of memories. Any day now.

  • ronnies voice is awesome, way before autotune, when they double his voice it sounds great

  • have you helped your uncle?this is real music, that is a sick story.

  • No offense, but that's just plain-out sick!!! r u 4 real??? how wrong!!!

  • Also, if ur uncle did do that, he was just day-dreaming!!! Because Ronnie is married, he ain't gay.
