It is VERY hard not to romance liara in this series. Out of every ME love interest, she's the only one who genuinely adores Shepard and would do anything for him. Is it possible to have a relationship with Liara for the playstation 3? I have the game for both 360 and PS3 but I'm not sure if things work out the same with Liara for the PS3 since there's no ME 1 for the system.

@koolguy17 I like the romance option, but I think they shouldn't take it any longer than in ME2. A video game is build in a very diffirent way than a book or a movie. A game is alot less "personal" compared to a book or a movie. A game is almost always about a cause that gets all the attention etc (If you understand) while books/movies are often about spesific characters and their lives. Nudity in a video game like ME would only fit if the game was ALOT more "personal".
@knarkbruker It is built differently because Video Games are an interactive medium that is built on you as the player controlling the actions of whatever character you control. Just movies or a book, it can be as personal if not more then any other medium available. You don't know this because you probably just play games like Call of Duty or sports games when there are many different (much better) ones available that shows great story and messages. Nudity is not there for no reason.

@LastAyleidKing You might have already been told or worked this out but... there kinda is. Talk to Yeoman Kelly Chambers enough, eventually there will be a little seen where you invite her to your quaters for dinner, she will then offer to feed your fish for you.

@LastAyleidKing Eventually you can ask Kelly if she wants to have dinner in your room (male and female can do this). Do so and stay Paragon with your answers. Eventually she'll ask if you want her to take care of your fish. You'll NEVER need feed them as Kelly will do it for you.

@joshp6585 - like GiupyTravel said, XBox Live Silver is free. All you need is to hook up your XBox 360 to the Internet and make a free XBox Live account, then you can download all the DLC's. I don't have XBox Live Gold either because it is not worth it to me, but I can still download all the DLC, free and paid, with my Silver.

Then you want to add something onto it later. Those additions are the DLC. The game is amazing and even as a broke college student, I don't mind paying. @13Ravin13 I'm pretty sure you leave off at the normal ending of ME2. The DLC along with the entire game of ME2 just sets up a certain foundation for your playthrough in ME3.
This is strange. Acording to character developement, Liara evolved from the most idiotic character of ME1 to one of the most interesting. After LotSB she sometimes seems to be worse psychopath than Jack and Morinth combined, even if she stays as calm as in ME1. And Tali, quite well made character in ME1 has been downgraded to beeing total moron.
@Eglab I think you got Tali mixed up with Miranda. Tali's still the quirky Quarian, if obviously more "<3 Shepard", which is fine--it's adorable. Her depth isn't affected. Miranda...sure, she's got A heart, but she's still far from the perfect woman. Very one dimensional character, the cocksure all-business type with little or no deviation outside of her loyalty mission.
And Liara? Sure. I admit it. She's the strongest contender for who the "true" or "canon" romance should be. Much improved.

Damn it that the shadow broker thing won't work on my computer. My Shepard guy totally loves Liara... and it won't let him get past the car chase scene without freezing and falling apart. Everyone complaining about not having the DLC just give it a couple months and I am sure Bioware will put out a Mass Effect 2 Ultimate Edition like they did with Dragon Age.

@LastAyleidKing You might have already been told or worked this out but... there kinda is. Talk to Yeoman Kelly Chambers enough, eventually there will be a little seen where you invite her to your quaters for dinner, she will then offer to feed your fish for you.

@LastAyleidKing Eventually you can ask Kelly if she wants to have dinner in your room (male and female can do this). Do so and stay Paragon with your answers. Eventually she'll ask if you want her to take care of your fish. You'll NEVER need feed them as Kelly will do it for you.

I accidentally missed the romance in ME1 on my fourth playthrough somehow (I missed a crucial conversation or something). Do you think I can get her in ME2 or maybe ME3? I did like her but I cannot redo my super comprehensive lvl 60 playthrough llol.

I don't understand just one thing... without DLCs, in ME3 we won't have our squad really complete?? i don't think we will lose again our squad so i guess mmh... shit, i don't really know... @GiupyTravel thats exactly my thinking.. so your saying i have to buy xbox live that i will never use with the exception of the dlc just so i can have a solid foundation going into mass effect 3?.. i would even be kool with them selling the dlc on a disk or something. i just dont want to dish out all that cash for x box live. im not a hardcore gamer. i just like to play through a game with a solid story here and there.. i cant wait for mass effect 3 or assassins creed 3. anticipation!

@GiupyTravel you guys realize that gamestop sells the dlc in individual little cards now? also xbox live silver is free, xbox live gold isn't. so you can get xbox live and the dlc. you just won't have the benefits of gold membership.

@joshp6585 - like GiupyTravel said, XBox Live Silver is free. All you need is to hook up your XBox 360 to the Internet and make a free XBox Live account, then you can download all the DLC's. I don't have XBox Live Gold either because it is not worth it to me, but I can still download all the DLC, free and paid, with my Silver.

@joshp6585 If they had packed all the DLC into the game then they would have delayed the game for another few months. I don't think I had enough underwear to continue soiling them with wet dreams about when the game came out... On a serious note, Its like having a house. You build it now. Then you want to add something onto it later. Those additions are the DLC. The game is amazing and even as a broke college student, I don't mind paying. Or do you want them to get slack along with the economy?

@13Ravin13 I'm pretty sure you leave off at the normal ending of ME2. The DLC along with the entire game of ME2 just sets up a certain foundation for your playthrough in ME3.

This is strange. Acording to character developement, Liara evolved from the most idiotic character of ME1 to one of the most interesting. After LotSB she sometimes seems to be worse psychopath than Jack and Morinth combined, even if she stays as calm as in ME1. And Tali, quite well made character in ME1 has been downgraded to beeing total moron.

@Eglab I think you got Tali mixed up with Miranda. Tali's still the quirky Quarian, if obviously more "<3 Shepard", which is fine--it's adorable. Her depth isn't affected. Miranda...sure, she's got A heart, but she's still far from the perfect woman. Very one dimensional character, the cocksure all-business type with little or no deviation outside of her loyalty mission.
And Liara? Sure. I admit it. She's the strongest contender for who the "true" or "canon" romance should be. Much improved.

Very nice scene, the animations, camera work, writing, voice acting and music score all blended together perfectly.
I really hope the mass effect series doesn't end with three, they're just too well done.
And yes I'm willing to wait for ME3, no matter how long it takes, you can't rush greatness.

Damn it that the shadow broker thing won't work on my computer. My Shepard guy totally loves Liara... and it won't let him get past the car chase scene without freezing and falling apart. So he went with Miranda... I based the guy on a dude from somewhere else and Miranda kinda looks like his old girlfriend. Unfortunately, Miranda also kinda looks like his sister. :P

I really wish Liara would be canon after seeing this. Seems like they have such a connection.
I guess a lot of people don't think much of her because of how cold she was in ME2, but she was the only one who didn't give up on Shepard, as seen through the Redemption series.
I think that she's the only option people go with for something outside of a matter of "I want to bang this chick".
Her life is fucked up because she wanted Shepard back and this is imo the only truly romantic love scene.

When i want to do this part of the game it doesn't work, she just goes back to her ship.
Currently i have a male shep and i got all DLC's and didn't have any romance with him yet and i have full para.
Could anyone please tell me why this isn't working for me.

So its basicly ME1 imports only or is there a way to still get it without doing the ME1 first.
