  • good piano skills

  • Beautiful! I'm always amazed at your voice. I think Ben Folds would be a great artist to check for piano songs to learn, since that's his thing and all. Looking forward to more of your videos :)

  • @faith120604 Thanks. I'll definitely check him out. I think he's got quite the following on youtube.

  • what a lovely rendition! and great job learning the piano!

  • @AmieLynne Thanks I'm glad you liked it. I'll keep it up.

  • You've got a great voice, and I lovethe stuff you're putting up. Are you a music student?

  • @nothintosee Noope I'm actually a film grad. There was a time in my life when I thought of applying for a music program.

  • @doppimus Didn't Jack Conte get his degree in film as well? Not a bad route, I guess

  • Ahhh i love this more than i can discribe in words!! really just brought back school-time memories, thanks! :)

  • @xoxKarienxox you are welcome!

  • great voice!!

  • @woodlandfox2112 Thanks. I just popped over to your channel. I'm a big fan of the Ender's Universe.

  • @doppimus — cool! I fanatically love Speaker For the Dead, but it scared the crap out of me when a friend asked me to be his Speaker [cancer vic].

  • @woodlandfox2112 That would freak me out to. That's a lot of responsibility. But I think it would be a great honor to be trusted that much.

  • The thing I love about you is that, no matter how significant the comment is, you pretty much always reply to it. I respect you for that :)

  • @SuicidalBadgerz Thanks. I genuinely appreciate every comment I get because I know how often I don't leave comments on other peoples videos. So when someone does take the time to leave one I like to acknowledge it as best I can.

  • I love this song and you're exactly what I needed to hear today. It's been a rough one and your soothing voice has a calming affect on me. Thank You!

  • @metamorphicmuse You're welcome, I'm glad I could help! I hope tomorrow goes smoother for you.

  • pretty!

  • @NikkoOfThePinkRose I could say the same thing about your artwork :D

  • how do you not have a recording contract yet

  • @Need2now I like to think it's because you haven't sent my channel to everyone you know or that you don't know enough record execs. But it more likely has something to do with the lack of originality on my part. :P

  • I don't particurally love this song, but I still think you're absolutely amazing.

    You're very talented.

  • @PrettyAbigail Thanks :D It's not in my top 5 either. But it's the first song I thought of when I decided to try and learn piano.

  • Check out more of Regina Spektor for more piano songs; she's an amazing pianist. Oh, and speaking of Regina, You Don't Know Me by Ben Folds featuring Regina is a good song. Maybe you could do a collab with another YT singer for the female part.

OH please do Everything Means Nothing to Me by Elliott Smith. <3 Check out his Figure 8 album, there's a few good piano songs there. And I think you could totally channel Elliott Smith.

  • @geegeezlouis86 Thanks I just learned the intro to Everything Means Nothing to Me from a youtube tutorial. The rest will be a snails pace as I try to read this sheet music T_T.

  • @doppimus Awesome! I look forward to it. :)

  • You're going places if you can play this well so soon. I took piano lessons for two hours and when I finished I could only play a part of Ode to Joy and some really simple songs out of some kiddy music book (I was 9). And then I forgot it all. XD

I agree with turdfacesaywhaaaa (...) both on the Regina Spektor song, Us, and that this is way too short!

  • For some reason in my mind I've come to associate this song and Sara Bareilles "I'm not gonna write you a love song" as fairly new essential chick songs. There's actually nothing in Vanessa Carlton's song that makes it necessarily girly. hah hah

what was I talkin about again. Nice rendition and nice piano playing :-D

  • @rnb8220 Thanks. I completely agree it's weird how that happens. Perhaps because it's on the Legally Blonde soundtrack?

  • @doppimus Legally Blonde is awesome. Bend & Snap, hah hah

Still one of Reese WItherspoon's best roles. Great antagonist role for Linda Cardellini. Maybe I'll watch that some time. The second one sucked thoroughly compared to the first. I tend to appreciate good comedy regardless of supposed target audience :-D

  • I wanna re-learn piano now!

  • @tonjesml You should. How about a little bit of healthy competition to see who can learn a song first?

  • Us from Regina Spektor is a great song for piano, really simple, beautiful, and there are plenty of tutorials right here on youtube. =]

I wish there was more than 1:11 of this, i enjoyed it very much.

  • @turdfacesaywhaaaa Sorry I didn't have time to record more. I just learned Us right now. I'll have to practice it a bit. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • I've always wanted to learn how to play piano, but I just never had the coordination for it. KUDOS to you for picking it up so fast! Do you know how to play "Greensleeves"? That's always been one of my favorites. :)

  • @davidluv4 I'll look for the piano music. It's a pretty song.

  • OK see adding piano to your repertoire, just makes me a groupie now! LOL!

  • @DonaGothika Haha purrrfect.

  • hmm, first cover without guitar? Not bad! just watch your tempo a bit and you're good!

  • @B4Doughboy I don't believe in tempo! Let me see if I can get a recording I like of that song again.

  • nice job :)

  • @misssiera311 Thank-you kindly.

  • Great job! :)

  • @AndSoShePaints Thanks. Hi I remember you from toronto!

  • awesome :))

  • @SuicidalBadgerz Those badgerz need therapy stat! - Thanks
