  • Glad to see you got those balloons, I read on the forums that someone was sending you some, and was wondering what happened to them... I am intending to launch a space program myself within the never few weeks... I will post all the info on the forums [=

  • The more of these videos I watch, I'm wondering if you can have a camera man follow Ynos around while he installs all that hardware? I think Ynos would be a wealth of information in terms of teaching people how to set up enterprise level hardware.

Nothing complicated, just have him explain what all he is doing, how it's hooked up, and how to do a basic config on each item.

What are your thoughts on something like this? A lot of the stuff he is doing you can only absorb via actually doing

  • @snyperbob Ynos will be doing a whole series. It's already in the works. :) He's quite clever and very good on camera.

  • How much are you looking at per window to replace them in the basement?

  • @amfan12 Roughly $500 or so per window was the price for the upstairs. The lower windows are slightly smaller so I hope they would be a tad less.

  • Someone needs to play Turn Turn Turn by The Byrds when Moose is turning stock on the lathe... :-)

  • @Physicsduck, I have few more of those current transformers,I'll send them your way. I ordered them thinking I would use them for something they were not designed for. That didn't work out...I have more casters, bumpers, and more. Look out ! Have you ever heard of the show "Hoarders"? If I didn't like giving stuff away, I could be a featured event ! LOL ,Thanks again for the GG vision !

  • Oh and Chris, i recommend tell your minions to bend from the knees not the back. most people don’t know this but the muscles in your back are strong enough to damage your spine. when you consider your entire upper body weight is being supported by your lower vertebrae when you bend over like that the last thing id want to do is add more weight to it by picking something up.

  • id be worried about the two grunts at 31:20 theyre red-shirts

  • Now all you need is spools of light cordage to use for labyrinth line...lol

  • @Giproni Don't be so shy to the camera. You do a great job and so deserve credit for that! :-)

  • 29:39 - the moment where me and the other kid (cant remember his name sorry! D: ) decided to lead Chris on a random game og goose chase through the maze like hallways of the Leonard st labs xD . God i love that place :P

  • Chris, that shirt you've got on has some serious moire mojo!

  • Hey Chris. Why wont you start a project on kickstarter to raise money for the things you need? Windows in the basement, cat-5 and such. It's a really good way of raising a ton of money.

  • No Chris... but the HANDS that need them in the GLOVES.

Putting the gloves in the hands is messy and ineffectual.

Nice butt! Not the fish, Amy. [/obligatory creep moment]

My name is Kaithar, I'm a hack, and I'm .... ARG! INTERNET!

26:35 That sounds a bit like the radio music from the first Portal... Cory will know what I mean.

I'd make a bad Lemon Moose joke, but I'm over my brat quota for the video.

  • Chris, you're wrong...tubes the filament has ground and 3 volts(at a couple of amps) which makes electrons boil of the filament and at the target end of the tube there you'll have 75kv to pull the electrons(which are negatively charged). Think...if you're gonna have 75kv at 3 amps...gosh...215kva's....and x ray transformers are only rated at...couple of kva's

  • @TheLungualexandru43 And how exactly would you handle running a pair of wires down the center of a cable with one at 75kV, the other at Ground, and both of them with only a paper thin layer of insulation between them? ;) There are 3 wires, one is the HV for the beam, one is HV for the filament, and one is HV+3 for the filament. The 75kV that feeds the beam has a extra little transformer excited from it that is used for filament power. I'll do and Autopsy so you can see.

  • Is there a Moose fan club I can join?

  • The Continental Colors A.K.A. The Congress Flag A.K.A.Tthe Grand Union Flag is the first national flag of the United States. I thought it would be a cool addition to the epic flag collection... and of course I had to throw in a Betsy Ross. Glad to see they got there!

  • @DJCenterStage It's a very cool addition, and it will be hanging by the end of the week :) Thank you!

  • Chris...What size shirt do you wear? Don't ask questions, just tell me... ;)

  • @djrock9000 I'm a little guy, depending on the shirt, a S or M. I'm 5'10" at 145lbs.

  • i love scrapping old printers! as of yet i dont even have a use for all the parts but the way i see it when the need arises ill be set :D

  • Captain ------ Be on the Lookout for the Mic Boom tomorrow the 12th, I will be stopping by the lab Friday with some more stuff.

  • @maplecitykid yay! The radio guys will love you! They *really* need mic booms.

  • My life is complete now. Ha Ha . The "Nice Butt" comment on the fish box was a salmon following a Halibut(Butt) ,I know dorky , but that is just me. There was another box that you got a while ago that had a few casters in it and a couple of those rubber corner bumpers. Do you want more of those casters ? They just take 3/8'' -16 NC thread to mount them.I have Lots more of them. Thanks , that was fun. Great video !

  • @TheFABKing You can never have too many casters, and those bumpers are AWESOME!

  • BTW could Jabroni create a tutorial series/video on how he makes his animations and what software he uses ect, his work flow etc?

    Mike.

  • each video shows me more of your lab. soon i will donate to help you. where does that door at 31:58 go? clean rooms are better for you work. servo motors are neat. yes this video is fun.

yes i read the disclaimer. :)

  • @Balarick That's a wall, not a door. You're watching the camera pull back through the door from the boiler room into the supply room. The "door" you see is actually the open door of the boiler room pushed against the wall.

  • What if you were to combine the robotics lab and electronics lab since they go together anyway, that will give you a small amount of extra storage space perhaps?

  • @kiwifrogg The robotics lab needs a LOT of room. Ours is too small as it is (remember the track takes up a lot of space). Our biggest problem with the robotics lab is that we can't put the BIG robots down there.

  • it's a grand union flag

  • plastic pallet + epoxy textured floor + push = idiots day of WHY WONT THIS MOVE!!!! YOU'RE A HACK GET OFF THE INTERNET!

  • 26:02 Experiment in the art of the long take? :p

  • It's a stepper motor Yo

  • man i wanna come and strip down one of those printers it looks so fun

  • I love how the "Handicap entrance" is accessed via stairs! hahahah. The world was nice before ADA compliance!

  • @BlitzKdotCOM There's a ramp too.

  • @BlitzKdotCOM Theres a ramp to the office outside in the handicap entrance PLUS the stairs inside the building.

  • I dont know when blue cherry are shipping them but you should receive 4 sets of baluns from myself (RageRiot in the forums)

I noticed the UK flag in your(Captain's) office today :)

Fantastic kick a buck video. both videos before the end credits seem alot more fluid and professional, nice job. btw I forgot to mention thanks for the Greetings card even tho is said "I'm terrible at holiday Greetings - Jabrony" hehe :D

  • cool graphics at the end!

  • lol...rap.

  • i think that copier just coughed up the pendulum bot's motor...

  • On a totally different subject, I heard of the NDAA a short while ago, I cant believe such a trojan horse passed into your law, screwing habeas corpus, bill of rights and all (I hope our politicians in europe or think tanks behind them get to think that military detention without any need for indictment or such is a good idea, but sadly, I fear they will, as all of the dumb internet laws in France are a dumb copy of your dmca and assorted crap, but with patriot act things injected into them)

  • Funny how it looks like the east india company flag minus the red diagonals...

Does anybody knows when the the earliest of those two flags was adopted?

(I saw it on a reenactment website, but it was during Napoleonic wars, so, i dont know...)

  • His glasses are so thick I can see the future!

  • Hey Chris, I don't know if you can fix it, but your vblog title has the wrong date

  • It is the Grand Union Flag. First National Flag of the US.

  • It is the Grand Union Flag.

  • It's the flag of the first 13 American colonies.

  • it is a Grand Union Flag

  • Chris, you should show us more of the work done in the basement. I got lost when you went down there!

  • @isashach you're right. we like seeing different parts of their lab.

  • Is that a laptop next to the huge amazon box?
