I thought Demolition were a great tag team(good as heels or faces) it's a shame how a premiere tag team like Demolition were jobbed out to bigger stars it's a slap in the face if what 27BigE is right...who did LOD think they were? A great tag team in their own right but why should they dictate 2 men's future?
Ok, The Legion of Doom had a stipulation were Demolition were to not win one single match against the lod and were to disband after wm 7...that is how vince signed lod...by making these two pathetic promises
Do you think Demolition getting the short end of the stick at WM7 had anything to do with an early 1991 match with LOD where Crush delivers a leg drop?? (Hogan's finisher)
I think this match is from 1991, a little time before Demolition disbanded at WrestleMania VII, in their last match. It's funny how Smash in this Demolition's jobber era going to outside of the ring very inmediatly after he losse. I think Demolition not deserved this. After Summerslam when Hart Foundation get the titles from Demolition, Demolition never won a tag team match or single match, it's a shame, anyway,Demolition it's one of my favorite team, as face or heel, Ax & Smash or Smash & Crush.
alright!!! Vince thought he had the real deal with LOD, but as time went on vince screwed them too. I think Smash and Crush got screwed the most at the end of Demolition era, by having to be jobbers in matches.
@JeffTheFutureJaros Yes, I think Barry was the perfect man for the Repo man gimmeck!!! But these guys can only do so much what they are allowed to do. Repo man said that he wanted to go even farther in the gimmeck, but naturally vince would not let him, and Barry guit that gimmeck. I think that smash and crush were screwed at the end of the demolition gimmeck.
@r1l6 yeah its a shame. vince wanted to plug Legion of Doom big time, and you could tell this was the end of demolition. Too many fans still liked demolition even as heels so it seems that vince just made them as rubbish as possible in the end so that fans would support LoD. Even the demoition theme (which was one of the best IMO) wasnt used anymore.
@macstar2010 The theme was changed when Ax left the company in November 1990. It wouldn't have been right for Smash and Crush to enter the ring to "Here comes the Ax, Here comes the Smasher..."

@dhice69 don't forget that they then had to become "The Repo Man" & "Kona" Crush, after they jobbed out toward the end of their Demolition runs, LOL

@r1l6 Yep, thats when I could see the BULLSHIT that Vince was giving to Demolition, as soon as they lost the titles to the Hart foundation.
