use you LS....concentrate on the legs....make 'em red by slicing them....when they'r all red make 'em super red...make 'em all super red...when u accomplish this...ur a xure victor....either u kill it or fend it off

@xside21 but it kinda difficult since its steps cause you to get damage or stumble.you need the quake resistance armour and the only way to get this armour is from shen itself i am no sure if there are any other though

I can't make an Akantor Bow. I'm doing this as the 6 star urgent quest. Tried SnS or Heavy Bowgun with Blango or Ceanataur or khezu(gunner) sets.

this is a technique i figure out,set bomber skill you can create adecoration for it) and bring 10 small barrel bomb,5 sml bomb+,3 large(bomb) and 2large+.then bring 10 gunpowder,10 latge barrel,and10 scatterfish,after use all the bomb you bring(save the sml bomb for later)combine all the item to make largr bomb+ shen gaoren often sit down,so that you chance to bomb it!also use the balista and dragonator every about 5-10 minutes.good luck

Greatswords are NOT one of the weapons that should be used on Shen Gaoren.

There is a place and a time to use each of every weapon. In Shen Gaoren, your best bet would probably be a bow with a LV3 Piece shot as the 2nd charge. Such as the Prominence Bow III or Akantor Bow.

XD well im sorry if i dont have epic gear. it was our first time fighting it. >.>; you know, when you first hit G-rank? i cant have an Aka weapons or prominence bow III >.>; and it worked more then fine to be honest. we crippled all for of his legs, and stumbled him multipul times before he was out of area 2. we didnt even get to fire off the dragonator XD the triple charge does alot more to him the people give credit. we had no trouble taking him down and we both were using greatswords.

Prominence bow should be easy to make. It's the 2nd to last quest in the game. So you should be up to HR-6. And Prominence Bow III is easy to make. Kill a Rathalos. No plates and rubys needed. Just a Brainstem.

the first time you fight shen gaoren is at the end of HR 4 XD we just hit g-rank. were no where near hr-6.

Thats strange. You're playing MHP2? Because Shen Gaoren is at HR-3 Urgent and HR-6 Urgent to Akantor. HR-4 urgent is Azure Lao. And G-rank is HR-7. Well now it is.

XD oh, i see. sorry. i was thinking about MHF2. i put the search in and some how i ended up in a different game. But its still basicly the same. im at HR-4 on MHF2. they pretty much just added an extra chunk of pointless quests and lowered G-Rank. For MHF2 you can hit g-rank in about 3 days if you play with 1 other person.

You should try getting the puppet Armor for the Gunner it has Adrenalin +2 or whatever basically you should have lower than 40% of HP your attack rises and use a very strong gun and just keep on blasting it over and over Clust/Crags and pierce.

i suggest using the kirin indore bane thats what used first time its fast and cuts in to also u need to do a curtain amout of damage to the dragon to let it fled then u fight it again in the jungle

then youre doin it wrong. its going to take practice no matter what weapon you use. in my opinion, the great sword (which is what youre using now, Agito) is one of the easier weapons to handle. you can do an infinite combo as long as youre playing offline and it does a ton of damage. if you learn when to guard, when to dodge, and when to slash you should be able to kill pretty much anything no problem.

however, i recommend upgrading agito ASAP.

You must damage 3 of its its legs 100% and deal 80% damage on the fourth leg.Then deal the remaining 20% damage on the fourth leg with GS charge hits to prevent it from attacking the fortress.

You can use the dragonator twice at 10 minutes interval each.
