hey antijelly if your dorodango keeps on getting cracked its because you need to start with thick dirt and end with thiner softer,that way the smaller softer dirt fills i the cracks better thats what i did with mine and it turned out perfect

When your ball is completly dry (after a few weaks out side) rub your thumb in circuls on the ball. it works best if u use a hankercif.

you take the mudd, make a ball. keep forming until its very round.

condense it (putting it in a bag and refridgerator.. it) that will draw the moisture out of the coenter and onto the outside

slowly making it harder, and you add fine dirt and shape it in your hands. thats what makes it shiny. i dont know about how long you should do each step..

I looked this up on line and it turns out this "artform" is actually child's play there is one site that actually will teach you how to do this and there is an art gallery in Santa Fe that dispays this as art. yes I am trying this actually its kin of addictive and even soothing but don't take my word for it you should try it.
