I got magnapacks and a x pipe on my 02 and get compliments all the time on the sound, the bassani is way over priced and doesn't even sound agressive, personally the most badass sounding mustang I've ever heard is my friends 99 GT with just muffler deletes, cost next to nothing too

I agree,the magnapacks have a unique sound like no other,kinda reminds me of an old school muscle car,if you add headders,and a high flow catted pipe.I use to have cherry bombs until I listenend to this guy's car,check it out it is (4511point21) the black mustang with silver stripes,he's got long tube header's and off road x pipe with magnapacks

sup there , on the scale of 1-10 how loud is the magna packs, do they sound good and not that too much of raspy i mean in real not in vids ? , well am planing to get one of those either the magna pack or SLP LM2, any advice ???

@al9a3qa I have Magnapacks on my 00' GT and I would rate the volume at about 8 1/2. That is with the stock H-pipe. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't even consider another exhaust model. The Magnapacks have a sound that no video can fully do justice. The start-up is insane, and the idle is just plain beefy. Under full accel, you can't ask for a better sound.

I prefer the Magnaflow setup, just because it sounds more like a "tuned" exhaust (if that makes any sense.) I think that's the reason some people say that Magnaflow setups are too quiet. But I'll take that over a really loud exhaust that pops any day.

My bad on the glasspack comment. I always thought magnapack was Magnaflow's name for a glasspack. Either way, I don't like the magnaflow setup.

I couldn't fin the vid you mentioned. I just don't like the flat spitting/popping type sound from glasspacks. I like the airy, metallic sound from a chambered muffler.

I thought they were straight-through can-type mufflers packed with fiberglass in the walls...??? That's a glasspack to me. Then again, I don't know. I guess it could be just a resonator like the Pypes M-80 mufflers, which don't sound that great IMO.

Bassani's sounds better, IF your engine isn't cammed. Magnaflow's are by far the best sounding if you have a cammed engine with the right exhaust setup. (IMO)

Type in: 89' Mustang Cammed Magnaflow and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Bassani isn't far behind, but I think Magnaflow's have a deeper more aggressive sound.

You can't even compare Bassani to a glasspack muffler.  Bassani sounds so much better.

Bassani SS systems produce more aggressive tone!But not by much...If i didnt have the money for Bassani i would def go with Magnaflow.But i chose the SS Bassani system to piss off my neighbors..and it backfired!now everyone just stares with that hehe little kid smirk on there face!classic shit..

bassani all the way but yea you do need the bassani x pipe nd itll sound more Ev1l :) i got bassani on my 87 stang love it now ama get the bassani o/r x pipe cant wait

I have to go with Bassani, but you really need the Bassani X-pipe to bring out the "liquid" sound of a Bassani exhaust. Magnapacks sound a little buzzy to me, just like any glass pack.
