i remember that, my dad had 4 trucks out of 10 caught in that storm on the 402, they were using front loaders to get the snow off the roads.

@atruckinthelife for a while i rented my house out, and lived in my truck. no hotels, shower at each fuel up etc. had a small dorm fridge so i was covered. money was great.

hi, i am a female who is studying for first class licence, that is not the challenge, coming up with money (14000) for schooling is the challenge. i was talking to a brother of atruck driver he said i sould advertise to be a swamper, do you have any sujestions i have made up my mind that this is somthing i want. have safe journy

@no1pinkjellybean if you cant swing the cost many companies will hire and train you. ( just have to run with them for a year or so. ) at least ehre in the us, idk, but seeing how you said first class and spelled it licence, im thinking uk?

@yamahonkawazuki that is how you spell licence in Canada she is probably french she couldn't spell anythign I have the same problem

@no1pinkjellybean Average price in the US seems to be around $5,000 for CDL school. I don't know about Canadian companies, but here most companies won't hire a new driver with no experience that hasn't completed a truck driving school so the swamper idea might not help you that much.

oh well i drove in snow on the 4th of July once in the rockies just out of Denver so snow in mid to late March is No big deal in the upper midwest. Mother nature does care what date it is. If she wants it to snow, rain, be hotter then hell in the middle of winter she will
