Haha...it also helps to be near a great airport..that's where all the luck occurs (as in the good stuff arriving).
Yeah, we all make mistakes...but man, you have no idea 'to those guys in particular' how big that is. I slipped up once and let the super rare Yemenia 747SP get out my clutches at LAX once..and I have nightmares about til this day. But I'll get back to Europe and catch it somewhere. 'Cuz I doubt that it will ever come back to here or SFO.
I threw that out there because the 'airliner production list' are suppose to be on top of this stuff..and I'm TOTALLY surprised this slipped by them. I can understand them missing A320s, 737s and CRJs ...but widebodies? That just doesn't happen.
But I'm glad you captured it, whereas I was able to detect it and pass it on to them.
I just noticed something very unique about this Iberia A340 reg'd as EC-KCL, it's not listed in the inventories of any of the airline production list websites. After a little research.. this baby turns out to be the no.5 A340 built and was formerly Air France's F-GZLA. Just a little note of interest. I notified a couple of them to 'update their files as evidenced by this video.
I really enjoy your perspective on these shots. I have a spotting location in Boston that gives me a similar view. BTW, I really like Iberia's livery. We get the A340s in Boston as well.
Thanks and its good you do, because believe it or not, at O' hare it's hard to find good spots. Yeah the livery is pretty cool and sweet i didnt know they flew there :P
Im going on this flight May 30th!!!
