  • Is it possible to do some without owning a Openhole flute?

  • @soulsofde4th Yes! There are hundreds of multiphonics that can be played on a closed hole flute with a C-footjoint.

  • @soulsofde4th You can find a good selection of the multiphonics for closed hole flute in my book "Tone Development through Extended Techniques". Its available from my website and through flute shops in the US and Europe.

  • never ever heard of it before, thanx for your videos...

  • This is awesome! I had no idea this was possible.

Where can we find fingering charts for multiphonics?

  • @matthewlin145 There are about two thousand multiphonics charted in my book THE OTHER FLUTE: A Performance Manual of Contemporary Techniques. See my website and flute shops.

  • Fantastic! Love the humor you bring into this.

  • Hey Robert - great to see your demonstrations on YouTube! I'm a composer in the UK and ever since I came across it in my undergrad "The Other Flute" has been a constant companion when writing for flute! Best, Edd

  • Robert -

Thanks for the verbiage refresher on explaining multiphonic production. As always, you are the expert with the most educated and thorough explanations!

    best wishes!

    Jessey
