I would love this plot to be reworked into a more modern movie with a David Icke slant but other Carpenter remakes totally sucked (The Fog remake - What were they thinking?!?) If they did remake it they would have to make mobile technology part of the alien control system and have the aware humans using lo-fi circuit bent gadgets & old UHF transmitters communicate. They'd have to get somebody like Denzel Washington to play Nada though just so people would take it seriously.

I love how this trailer is shot, it leaves you guessing the whole minute in a half about who "they" are and then at the end you get the payoff for just a second. that's all you need to make you want to go see the movie. BRILLIANT!!
