Just discovered this song - I'm welsh, but was watching Evelyn Coull on Tir Nan Og on BBC Alba who named it as her favourite. Lovely tune & poignant lyrics - let's hope in the next generation you'll be singing about how your precious language in spreading back from the west into other areas
@tachuman that left-handed bouzouki player is Donal Lunny, a long time member of the super-group Planxty and a major force in Celtic music. Just to let you know. Slainte

@Eadailteach Chan an t-oran "fhir a bhata" a bha mi a ciall, tha mi duilich, ach a bheil bádóirí nuadh do na h-eathraichean ura...cha robh mi ach ri (leth) spors!
@Falscaidh gabh mo leithscéal. tá mé ag mall ag foghlaim,tá muid na mílte bádóirí nua. agus turas fada roimh na nGael agus le spraoi ar an turas conas is féidir aon duine a bheith inár cosán. Gabh mo leisgeul, tha mi mall gu ionnsachadh, tha againn na miltean de neach-bàta ur, agus turas fhada roimh na Ghaidheal agus le spors air n’ turas cionnas a dh`fhaodhadh neach sam bith seasamh ‘n ar slighe.
brilliant song, has many verses and the last of which (not sung here) is full of hope and determination. Gle mhath, gu doigheal. Suas Leis a' Ghàidhlig!
Thanks Karen for this lovely song.. you do like nobody else in the world.. you are the Gaelic music... when you come to America??? I will go to see you en person....
Hi. I am new to You Tube, but have been looking for a singer I heard back in trhe 70s and 80s, I think. I think his name is Alisdair Sims, or McGinnis? He had a Gaelic album out I found, and one song in particular I liked was "Kisteen". I think I spelled it right. Is it still available anywhere, or even by someone else? Thank you.
Message to Karen: I love you and your great voice. I could listen to you music all day. Your CD "The Dreaming Sea" is so touching...It's one of my favorite CD's. Please come to America, I'll be waiting...

Thá seans againn, na Gaeil in Éirinn agus in Albain ár dteanga a neartú agus a laidriú ag obair le chéile.
