  • this is too old video petula is the great

  • Littleshoemaker, thanks for posting all the early Petula Clark songs..just think, 15 years after this..she would be going "Downtown "..glad that she did..it was the "British Invasion"..we Yanks thought we had "discovered" Petula..good to see her early efforts.

  • very enjoyable. Thank you for posting.

  • Dávám číslo 10,je skvělá,nádherná.

  • Thanks for sharing

  • I know how to play this on the piano!

  • What is Dame hood and may I know the reasons if she will be conferred in that nobility? thnks. (philippines)

  • It's an honour given by the country, usually for some sort of service rendered to the country, and, if she gets it, instead of being Miss Petula Clark, she will be Dame Petula Clark. (Of course, in fact she is married and her real name is Madame Petula Wolff, so I suppose her new name would be Dame Petula Wolff.)

  • That's how things were before they invented the drum-machine and scratch-box.

  • Fabulous ♥ Thank You

  • Must be from the late 30s or early 40s.

  • What year is this, maybe late 40s?

  • read the description!

  • Man, I had no idea Petula was that old! binkle1, you are right about her looks. I would have not known that it was her.

  • Petula's handlers had a heck of time trying to come up with a "look" for her. My twin brother is compiling a library of all these films. It's a hoot. She looks totally different in every single one.

  • A bit like the Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney "let's put on a show" flicks from the '30s.

  • Well, it's no "Downtown", but it'll do!

Seriously, though...a nice piece of history...thanks for posting it!

  • This is fantastic. Love it.

  • aw lovely

  • I haven't seen this film... Looks like a laugh
