Nick is my inspiration! Even though I dont have diabetes my mom does. Even though I cant actully know how hard it is but I know its a terrible struggle. I want to help with it also! Nick helps me through all my struggles no matter what it is!
Nick's brothers Kevin and Joe are good at taking care of Nick and thats good. I have type 1 diabetes too and I was 10 when I got it. When I found out I cryed. I had no idea what it was and was scared at first and like Nick said he could make it I thought that same thing. All of my friends, parents, sis, and family support me so thanks. I haven't even been diabetic for a year and it's been good but I've had my 11th B-Day and yeah. August 10,2010 was when I was diagnost. Well thanks for reading.

You can really tell how strong of a relationship these brothers have...i love the fact that they are trying to make a differnce in our world...when kids find out that they are sick, no matter what kind of illness, its nice to know that there are other people in this world that understand and are going through the same thing...it also shows that it IS possible to live your dream no matter what struggles you might be going through....Thank you Kevin,Joe, and Nick for making an impact in our world!
I have type 1 diabetes... i was diagnosed august last year... I was 15... Its really hard for me to get used to it after like 15 years of doing whatever the hell i want... and half the time i really cant be bothered with it...
btw to all the haters nick is now chair of the juvenile diabetes research foundation. also to the haters theres alot of young children and adults still dying from diabetes because they dont have money to help themselves the proper way. not everyone has money or insuarnce and the jonas brothers as humble as they are the realize that.

I'm diabetic - to be honest, crying is just the gut reaction. But as soon as you learn more abiout it, you start looking at it as a chance to make a difference - and it gave me the dirive to decide to become an endocrinologist.
I myself have Diabetes. I know how it feels. First I had to cry when the doctor came to tell. Then I stopped crying and asked: What is Diabetes? A bit of a weird moment, but luckily they found it all quite amusing. He inspires me and other kids might think it is so over.
I just love how close he Jonas Family are, they are so supportive about eachother :) Kevin, Joe and Frankie must take such good care of Nick, making sure he is feeling ok....
He is such an INSPIRATION to so many people in this world, it warms the heart :)

We werent very educated as well, as my mom said and um, when we did see the symptoms and things like that; we knew something was going on. We didnt thinkhe went through something that didnt seem like it was just growing up but we went through something very different and unfortunately it was diabetes but when we first learned about it was very, very scary.

We didnt know if we were going to be able to continue because we were not educated and I think because of our lack of knowledge, that why we so excited to be having a part of the band and have the diabetes so we can bring such a huge voice about this issue to so many people out there.
@k3a3r3e3n3 Joe: We were on tour and we wanted to go to the pool and there he took off his shirt and I could almost see his bones and it was really scary. So I kept going to my parents saying Mom, dad theres something wrong with Nick, you have to go to the hospital and I remember my dad being like Oh when I was growing up it was kind of the same thing, and I was like I donno dad, Im a little scared.
@k3a3r3e3n3 So once we found out it was diabetes, like Kevin said, we had no idea what it was, so we were really confused and scared. And I was thankful though that he was getting taken care of and um I remember going to the hospital and actually freaking out and passing out on the floor because I didnt know what it was.
@k3a3r3e3n3 You know Im happy hes ok now, and its great that hes in the band because at every meet and great thousands of kids walk through thanking Nick for being such a positive light to them. Whoever it is, if its a young girl or it could even be a kid our age, its sometimes amazing to see their story and it all seems like they [were] diagnosed [at] similar times as Nick and so theyve gone through it at the same time-periods.

trust me you don't wish you had diabetes...it's not good at all. The lows are really bad because you feel sick and weak and the highs aren't much better. I wouldn't wish diabetes on anyone.

@raininmon22 excactly why the jonas brothers do so much for children with alot of different diseases hence their foundation children for change. joe does alot of work for the special olympics thats for all different diseases and joe just came back from africa and kevin into volunterism and they have been to so many childrens hospitals for cancer. they dont just do charity work for diabetes. you really should know what r talkn abt b4 you say stuff. their foundation raises millions 4 al disease

Its probably a struggle for the family to just deal with the disease. @johnnyamorrison also you may not like them, fine. that is your own opinion. but to call them crappy is also an opinion...one that doesn't need to be shared. and btw they do play their own music. have you ever seen them? no. probably not. nick plays piano, guitar and percussion and he sings. kevin plays guitar. joe sings and plays guitar and percussion. just b/c u don't like them doesn't necesarilly mean they are "crappy".

I hear you I do, but the thing is i have type 1, and i absoultly hate when people go poor you, so i stopped telling everyone, and i feel bad for him, but i do feel worse for all the little kids, and when i become famous i'm going to donate money for research for those kids, just thought you should know... i know it's a little random, so sorry!

@raininmon22 excactly why the jonas brothers do so much for children with alot of different diseases hence their foundation children for change. joe does alot of work for the special olympics thats for all different diseases and joe just came back from africa and kevin into volunterism and they have been to so many childrens hospitals for cancer. they dont just do charity work for diabetes. you really should know what r talkn abt b4 you say stuff. their foundation raises millions 4 al disease

i think he was wiping tears from his eyes at 1 :33-1:35. =-[. i could see how much effort the family is doing to save Nick from dieing. Its probably a struggle for the family to just deal with the disease. I don't have diabetes,but i have to deal with a health struggle right now. i feel exactly how he is feeling right now cause of the problem.

That's really nice. A lot of people try and suck up and pretenc they know what it's like to have diabetes, but you said that even though you don't have it, he inspires you in other ways. You're honest and a lot of people will respect you for that. =]
