And I'm not saying they haven't contributed anything to today's metal genre, but you have to admit that they are SOOOO over-rated-- all their music sounds the same. Bands like Rush who helped to shape the progressive side of metal, or Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen who introduced speed-shred are more influential in my opinion... at least we can agree on rap/hip hop though :P
