Now watch... since I said these words, some conspiracy theorist can copy and paste what I said (remember the elipses points!) and say "see? even XSC3 admits it!"
@bossman103 historians who believe jesus existed are just biased apologists. and u sir, are probably a fundy, conservative, homophobic, right-wingin' bible thumper.
@MWM958 Bart Ehrman is a biased apologist? Just about every scholar on the subject - including those who are atheists - believe in Jesus' existence. Even the most liberal scholars such as those in the Jesus Seminar do (else why would they be voting on what Jesus really said?). Fail.
@labarum312 no, all of those "atheists" and "liberals" are most likely suppressing a secret belief in fundamentalist Christianity, therefore they are biased. truly enlightened freethinkers watch zeitgeist, and read kersey graves.
@MWM958 Now having looked on your page and having noticed XCS3's comments, I realize you were kidding. My apologies. You should realize that whatever you parody with Zeitgeist folks is already a reality. No parody is needed.
@labarum312 yeah i was just kidding around, sorry, lmao. but its pretty sad that some people thought i was being serious. what does that tell you about zeigeist fans?
@labarum312, a friend of mine from the old school was sharing an anecdote with me the other day to the effect that the more extreme ideology one looks at, the harder it is to tell from parody
Gerald Massey was a truly enlightened scholar. You see, Egyptology was in its infancy then, but he absorbed all of the true wisdom, and all his friends were Egyptologists and they were amazed at how much he knew. To this day, no one has been able to achieve his level of knowledge or refute what he said. From Egypt, all wisdom cometh. People who deny these truths are either fools or brainwashed sheep (probably racist too).
@MWM958 Only if you are basing it on stuff from the nineteenth century that was dismissed half a century ago. The Roman Mithras and the Persian Mithra are not the same deity (apart from a borrowing of the name) and the Roman form actually does not show up until after Christianity began. See David Ulansey's "The Origin of the Mithraic Mysteries" or Otto Clauss' "The Roman Cult of Mithras" for details. Neither the Persian nor Roman forms have much in the way of parallels anyway.

Let me give it a try...

Wow, it's pretty easy... and fun! ;)

@labarum312 I think MWM958 may have been sarcastic in his various posts... since he's doing a great parody of a conspiracy theorist.
or am I already too jaded?
XSC3 1 year ago
@XSC3 No he is being sarcastic. I have actually heard this sort of thing numerous times and just had a reflex action. Sometimes life imitates art.
