This is amazing, you articulate your thoughts so well, and I completely agreed with everything except that I was rather upset about the Lex mindwipe, because I felt that it was just a waste of ten years of Clark/Lex history and tension. I wish they had figured out another way to make him line up with mythos. Now I miss Smallville again!

I too was bawling throughout the 2-hour finale. I loved it. I loved the romantic parts and the Superman parts. Yes, I did have some issues with it and the whole series, but I loved it just the same. I'm looking forward to the retro reviews.
honestly i pretty much agree with everything you said. i think clark beat dark sied to easy, it was one of those wtf moments. clark walking lois down the isle was sooo smooth of him, lol.it was hard not to get emotional because this show has been a part of my life for so long. it was awesome to see lex come back. ive been watching the show since i was 11, a few times i didnt agree with where the writers were goin with the show but it was totally worth it to see clark in the suit and flying.
I absolutley loved the finale as well. I cry every time i see or even think about it. And i am so glad that it has that impact on me. No show ever will again! That wedding was unbelievely awesome. No show does it like Smallville. Heartfelt.
It is going to be really hard not having Smallville anymore. I agree with you about Tom and Erica, especially Erica because is the complete Lois for me. I love Margo and Terri but Erica has the best of both of them. Not sure about this upcoming Superman. Just have to wait and see...regardless Tom and Erica will always be my Lois and Clark..next of course to Christopher and Margo. Thanks for all of your great reviews. I really enjoyed them and look forward to what you do in the future.
Good review, I'm was surprised you didn't mention the scene when Clark met up with Darkseid aka in Lionel's body in the barn, that was when Clark after Jor el shown him of all his saves over the 10 seasons, I thought that was a nice touch for the finale. Plus showing real flight for the first time to take out Darkseid.
I Look forward to your retro reviews. Maybe you can include in the future, your top ten or 20 episodes of all time in Smallville video. That would be very interesting to see.

It was a near perfect episode. I didnt think the clois dance scene in homecoming could be topped but there were several moments in this episode that did that. the only thing that bothered me was that I'm preety sure tom wasnt in the full suit. you could tell with the extreme close ups of his face and the extreme far away shots of superman

Did anyone else like that last scene where when Clark bumps into Lois at the end and she's all like "You're so hot" and Clark just simply goes "Mmmm". I loved that little scene of them together, it all melds in perfectly.
Actually the lex part was right the real lex wasn't there anymore so the you see on smallville was a clone so that fit perfectly. Every piece of lex was a perfect peice of a clone combined to the perfect lex luthur. The air force one scene was right out of the first superman film where he saves the plane by lifting it by the engine. All N All Great way to end the series. I was 14 when it premeried on going on 24 I will miss my fav. show of all time its hard to say goodbye to yesterday. LOL.
Actually that Jimmy in the finale is the real Jimmy, cause the real Jimmy is a lot younger than Clark and Lois. James Bartholomew Olsen is the real one. His brother is Henry James Olsen, who is in season 8, lol. And I think Retro Reviews would bee really cool. I have yet to watch Young Justice, I saw a small clip of it and it was awesome lol. Have you seen the unaired Aquaman tv pilot? By the way, I was mad/sad when they killed Tess!!

@criso1506 Oh ok, yea, I like Jimmy from the 7th and 8th season, kinda wish we could have saw his little brother a little more in the finale, but the finale was just awesome! And Yea, I don't really care for Aquaman either, but the same people who made Smallville, Alfred Gough and Miles Miller made Aquaman in 06. And CW shot it down and didn't order it for an entire season. Justin Hartley plays Arthur Curry, this was before he was casted as Green Arrow.
One little complaint I had, was that I think the superman music should have happened when he was first flying through the fortress and putting the suit on.
Ten years is a long time hard to believe it is over.
Retro reviews would be cool gives a different insight into the episode since the end has happened. Look forward to the Young Justice reviews (a spin off mini series is coming) and reviews for superhero movies. Ever see All Star Superman? Maybe that could be something to do a video about.
Great review =) I am happy that at the end they tied the knot and love how confident Clark says "tell the minister I'll be some minutes late" <3 and Lois going down the stairs with so much pride of her man.
