Okay, I got Dark Souls I'm wondering how to use stealth in singleplayer because I'm a thief. Is there like a button? I play on PS3 or does the character do an animation if you walk slowly towards an enemy?

@sandmanhardstyle Nah no button but there is a ring (Fog Ring) thats makes your player transparent and harder to detect. There is also another ring that makes you completely silent (Sleeping dragon ring I think).

no there is no stealth as the thief back stabs and parries are you bread and butter but if you don't like that swap out your dagger for a katana and your shield for a medium shield

Okay, I hope you'll pardon a simple question like mine, but it'll bug me if I don't find out.

Early in the video, you attack the other player with what seems like a jab to the gut. Are you only able to do that by using small, dagger weapons? If so, how did you do it?

@MonkeyShow20 Pretty sure what you are asking about is a riposte. You can only do it after you parry a attack with a shield or weapon. You can do it with other weapons, but it is most effective with daggers.

@MikkiZHskDK multiplayer interaction is based on SL, and most stop at 120 in DeS and DaS, thats why builds are based out of stats, and thats why a sl 50 character cant summon sl700 phantoms, although in DaS if you invade using a red eye orb or cracked red eye orb you can invade anyone above your sl

I use a similar build, except i use an Epee Rapier (the one you find in 3-2) and a murcury rapier +5 in my left hand instead of daggers. With the epee rapier against the Blue Eye Knight just before the Tower Knight the max damage i did with a parry was 900 or so, the fire damage seriously does you good. Although daggers show more skill :)

@godsmackya Theres 2 way for you to pvp with other players. 1. You can be in body form and be in a world you HAVENT completed yet. 2. You can be summoned by someone and have a black phantom invade. As for summon people you have to be in body form in a uncompleted world and you'll see these blue signs on the floor just run over to one and hit X twice and you'll summon that person

1:35 = most epic part. Just simply roll past the blue phantom, back stab him for a ohko, throw him down the stairs and don't even have to double check to make sure you killed him cuz you know you did, then continue on to riposte the host.

@Ranzick parrying dagger has a VERY long parry animation (like, a second or a couple of seconds longer), and I think it is more lenient about the parrying hitbox and time frame. However you can't block with it....so it's higher risk higher reward.

I am intrigued in what SL you was and what your stat allocations are on this build, I've played with many builds and I did make one assassin build but I scraped it ages ago. I presume that is fatal secret dagger + 5 but what is the parrying dagger? Also for rings cling and thiefs? do you not use cloak either?

@tmrevolver I just knew that great axes (the type of weapon he had) would swing from my right to left and i knew he would swing once he noticed me running toward him (leaving him open for a backstab) because you have to time your attacks and swing earlier than usually because the weapon is so slow

@naakato There's more people now because of the release of Dark Souls coming up, also they extended the servers until 2012 so get it while you can. It's one of my favorite games ever.

@amdnovello BOnfires make it harder in ways because enemies respawn when you use them and you only get a limited amount of health refills. In Demon's Souls you can get as many as you can afford/carry.

I just have a question. Once your soul level is so high it simply becomes a grind to farm the 4-2 reaper for souls. Eventually 6+ minutes of that will only get you one soul level...

What is the best way to get souls when your level is already high like this build? Please don't say Reaper farming because you can only handle so much of that. :p
