These speakers aren'tgood. There are so much better pc speakers out there. For example the Razer Mako. I've listened it myself and it sounds so much better. And you can get the Creative gigaworks t3 if you've got a smaller budget. I don't now if they sound better but you will get much more for your money. The sub had a bigger driver and the satelites hav alluminium drivers with neo magnets.
I think Bose should go all out and make a decent subwoofer. Those Wave Radios put out a lot of bass. Imagine that transmission line/waveguide whatever cabinet scaled up for 2 x 12 inch subwoofers. That would be a beast!!
no the .1 is called the LFE signal and if u look at prologic speakers they do not have a .1 as the .1 signal is a lower level sound menaing Low-frequency effect, not all sub sat setup are designed this way ,
THX speakers are 2.1 sound which means two channel and .1 is for the LFE bass , If you buy 2.1 speakers they will sound diff to regular stereo speakers and again it comes down to what u want in the end ,
bose does not claim to shake your room just give u a good mix of diff levels of sound, cewin vega is used to shake a room not listen to classical music , martin logans sound good but will not shake the room , u pick what u are looking for and if u pick one expecting it to sound diff to what is was designed for then how is that the speakers fault
ok now look at what u had to do to make it sound like a bose setup , out of the box the razer did not sound good unless with a better sound card and i am thinking u had to tweak the sound to add the sounds u were lacking , with the bose u dont have to
it will be his mic , even if he had a pair of B&W it would sound like crap playing back through youtube so u cant make a decision just by listening to this vid
@warwith1n sounds like you know nothing about good speakers or sound. Bose sucks dude klipsch promedia are 1/2 the price and sound twice as good. bose is overpriced POS
@krypekeeper lol i have owned the klipsch as well as others and we are not arguing about the price here , we are talking about the sound , and the klipsch has bass but not the clarity , i own the lifestyle 48 as well as a full home theater high end with definitive speakers and a 11.2 yamaha receiver so i know sound , bose sounds ok in small rooms but can not fill a large room ,
the funny part is people are complaining oh all i hear is crap and no low no mids , ummm the crap sound u are hearing are your own speakers duh , u cant complaint about what u hear on here unless you own one and really listen and test them , bose sounds good in a small room
no, youre wrong. its not our speakers, its either his camera or his speakers. cause when i plug earphones directly into my soundcard with no external or internal EQing of any sort, there is no low or mid range at all.
@TimpBizkit That is the funnest thing I have read in a long tme LOL!! great stuff if I every go to a wine tasting this is the first thing I am going to think about.
they sound good when u hear the demo in the stores if u notice the area they cover it is not large, anything larger then 15x15 bose can not handle , they sound ok for an office or bedroom not for a main setup for a home theater
lol people are so lame , name a set of speakers in the same size bracket that beats theses , i know they are expensive but they do sound good for pc speakers and bose sound good for the size
Dam this music sucks, more like the music has no bass.
But it is possible video just can't pick up the sound, its not like its been done on any high pro camera.
I have them, to say they are the best is subjective which means you know nothing. For the price i have herd better setups but not as small and out of the way as these, and if computer speaker is all you can afford to hear music then yes get the biggest boxy speakers you can, and try listening to music without mp3 conversion.
I heard Bose's 3-2-1 and other speakers from their new series and, well....It's nothing more thant just higs and bass, that's true but these speakers aren't playing for quality, but for effects (home cinema),
why because I'm right??. Exactly!!You say ur are an audiphile?? yes and think that bose is the best oO .k than look up some pages and listen to some really good music speakers and not movie. and by the way pls post first when u know what ur are talking about thaks.

Holy shit man! Nice setup! These speakers are awesome. Your tearing down the house with these! Turn the sub down because the windows are rattling! NOT! Ahahaha!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
How would you do that? BTW, Bose sucks all around. Check out Paradigm, Wharfedale, and B&W. Those are serious audio companies that are highly regarded by audio magazines and audio enthusiasts. In many cases they cost MUCH less than Bose, and their highest-end models cost MUCH more than Bose (Paradigm's Reference Signatures cost up to $7000/pair, and B&W's 800Ds cost about $25,000/pair). If you want to hear REAL audio equipment, check out those brands; even their lowest end lines are amazing.
Awesome, thanks. But I'm a bass and window rattler enthusiast. I'm not the type where I like clear amazing $7000 sound but no bass. So far I have a pair of Cerwin Vega D-9's. They were not REAL sounding speakers until the mids and tweeters were replaced with high end ones. I am now getting a 2,500wattRMS subwoofer and will power that with 2 crown amplifiers down to 2 ohms. So basically, I am not a fan of strictly "home theatre" audio. I am more into music that you can FEEL.

What kind sub are you getting? Have you ever heard of the JL Audio Fathom? It's the best-reviewed subwoofer ever. The 13 in. model costs $3600, but omg does it sound good. Not only that, it is powerful as hell. It has 2,500 watts RMS (and real watts; unlike many companies, JL posts their wattage very accurately), and the driver has 3+ inches of peak-to-peak excursion! If you want a sub like nobody's business, check that out.
I heard of the Fathom and Gotham subs. Ummmm. Wayyyyyy too expensive buddy. It's expensive because it has a built in amp. I'm getting parts to make a 2,500wattRMS sub the better way with separate amps. The sub alone is $700. Then I have to box it and power it with 2 Crown amps. Since YouTube doesn't allow us to give links, go to parts express, click on woofers/tweeters/mids, then click on 15" subwoofers under the "subwoofer" heading and then find and click the Audiopulse AX15Q1 for $721
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah I've heard of Audiopulse. They makes car subwoofers, and I'm sure they're loud.
The Fathom and Gotham aren't expensive because the amp is built in. My $300 Jamo subwoofer has a built in amp, along with almost all home subs. The Fathom and Gotham are expensive because they're made for sound quality, and that's a lot harder to achieve than making something that's just loud. They also have incredible build quality. Yes, they are expensive, but they are for sure worth listening to.
Hello. If this system has an USB connection and I have a Sound Blatser audigy sound card with 4 different muffles, it means I cannot connect it to that sound card, right ? I mean...I can connect it only to the computer with that USB muffle...but I won't be able to use all those...effects...
He has the Companion 3, so it connects via a 3.5mm Jack/Port. The Bose Companion 5 is the one that connects via USB and has its built in sound card inside the Subwoofer. If you have really expensive sound card already installed on your computer, I suggest purchasing the Bose Companion 3 (shown on video)... but if your soundcard is under $150.00, I would recommend the Bose Companion 5 speakers. It's really well worth it. I take care of my electronic devices and mine looks brand new :D
Thank you for your help. My sound card is under $ 150, but still with Bose Companion 5, I still won't be able to use it. And I would really like to use it, because it is good. Do you think that the one inside the BOSE subwoofer is better ?
