And also, John Cramer would have been a great announcer of both shows since he announced the 90s revivals of The Newlywed Game and The Dating Game as well as Pyramid with Donny Osmond. But the only question I must ask is this. Who would have been a great host for each show?
Thumbs up if you think that The Joker's Wild and Tic-Tac-Dough should have had syndicated revivals for the 1999-2000 season after the cancellations of The Newlywed Game and The Dating Game. They could have featured their most famous formats including the ever popular "Face the Devil" and "Beat the Dragon" bonus games, respectively. Columbia TriStar Television Distribution could have been a great distributor of both shows.
When I was a kid, I never knew that the picture of the Devil was Jack Barry's face, till I was older watching GSN when they had TJW. Just picturing it would be to freaky in real life if Jack did the same look as the picture of the Devil and scared all the people during Halloween.
I never saw Jack Barry's last show. I figured that it ended with Bill winning his fifth game and a new car. This Bill would appear on Bill Cullen's first show.
From Hollywood! Here's the game where knowledge is king, and lady luck is queen. It's "The Joker's Wild!" And now here's the host of our show, Jack Barry!
I always enjoyed this program, and I was wondering what the odds were of spinning three jokers. I noticed on the Hal Shear ful episode the camera focused on the board showing hte three jokers as the show wen tot a commercial. I take it didn't happen too often. How lucky was Joe Dunn? Does anyone remember him?
This is find is the better of the two themes for THE JOKER'S WILD. Although this one I feel is behind it's time. It was good when it was still the seventies because that's when themes were still played in a very orchestral mannr and not electtronically. No matter what I say about these theme's they still somehow fit in with the show; don't know how however. Once again Hal Hidey did a good job with the theme. This theme I feel was better but outdated; both themes were good none the less.

I love how Hal Hidey made this theme a nod to the Savers theme. They changed the instruments without really changing the opening theme.

2:01 - The Devil, modeled (so they say) on a caricature of original host Jack Barry.

Yep also I remembered back in 1984 when i was 2 I was terrorfied of that Devil especially the close up shots

@dnm728 I'd say the Devil was modeled after Ming The Merciless from Flash Gordon.
