Introduction, The Mazda 5

I've drive a lot of cars (a few of them for example are BMW series 5, Volvo V70, Audi A4 TD) but driving Mazda 5 is and excelent new experience.

The car responses very good for the 5-speed manual transmission, the brake system is secure and intelligent (nice ABS system), the steering is soft and safe (for the electronic speed-steering control), powerful in highlands because don´t loose power anyway and for its low price you have a great car for family and looks nice outside.

Nice car and package overall, but it is still rough around the edges. I have been driving one for a day (Rental) and the car has the following weaknesses:

Horrid 5-speed automatic transmission

No Sport mode program (Tip-tronic helps to ease some of the transmission response maladies)

Engine is a little gutless

Drinks a lot of gas for a 4 banger

Handling is very good for a car based minivan

Nice dashboard

Seats are not that comfortable in despite of different settings.
