I feel like youtube is doing this on purpose. Because there is so much talent here on youtube, but no. They will feed the masses with rihanna and bieber, and in the meantime kill all the true art. Sad little world we live in
@Jir0ft And for the people that are curious, i have the exact same problem, did everything they said. After that i received a absolute retarded (bot generated) mail. How freaking rude
I do everything they say. Claim the rights, have a link to my email, a link to my soundcloud, a link to soundcloud's licensing information. I write all of the correct song info, and STILL they take all the music that I have created off of monitization! Meanwhile some kids are making money monitizing skrillex videos.... WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
I have the same problem as you people here.. and I can show that I own the rights of the video, but I don't F know where to prove it cause they disallowed the button where I could have proven it. It sucks
Each step should be described in more detail - straight to the point in simple clear english for noobs like me as to what exactly is needed. How and where with links to examples or needed documention to fill in so no video is disabled from monetization. Label for unsigned artists is a bit confusing to me. One of my songs is disabled - I have four with same written claim, why not all of them has been disabled confuses me too as all are made with the same video editing and music software.
CORRECTING A WORD: Well, I follow everything they say and put this in: I am the sole producer of this video and music/sound effects soundtrack using Apple’s Final Cut Pro program which includes Soundtrack Pro, Motion and GarageBand. And I add in the links to Apple Licenses...
AND IT STILL DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING!!!! I HAVE TO PROVE I OWN MY OWN FILMS AND SOUNDTRACKS WHICH IS MADE UNDER LICENSE FROM APPLE.....

Does anyone know how to message YouTube about videos unjustly disabled? I've got several musical compositions that can't be monetized for no reason. No doubt this is happening to a lot of people right now.
Well I did an interview with absolutely no background music. Its just 2 people chatting and they still blocked it from being monetization .. I think that somes the whole thing up really. What is there to prove about 2 people chatting in a cafe ? youtube id --> QPZg4VdEUko
FUNKY RETARDS!! I dont even think the bastards look at the video, or listen to it, or read the description.. or even read the goddamn "rights claim" text we are forced to write and re write and re write hoping that a new twist on the words might please the dead encephalograms on the other side.. Just to think google had the reputation of only hiring the brightest ppl, my ass man, MY ASS
Unbelievable...put up video and music: Produced Myself, Pictures by Me...all original even have the rights and now i need to claim ????? ridiculous indeed!!
This is ridiculous. I regret enabling my account for monetization now...this stuff is just stupid. All the videos of my original music got rejected and I'm not going to try again for fear of getting them removed. At least this is a free service so I don't have to pay for this junk.
I made a Super Mario song using FL Studio. I did check yes for "Any footage of software / video games" And described what program i used, and what song i made. They blocked it after a few days. I re-applied with the link in the e-mail. But they don't believe it's mine.
We are professional, DuPont/Columbia Silver Baton winning, Ace and Emmy nominated documentary filmmakers with a 30 year history. All of our background music was composed by our old friend and colleague Tim Cappello as works for hire. And YouTube continues to challenge it. In addition, YouTube has even challenged our clips of original and unique interviews- that we shot- of famous Hollywood stars- most of whom have now died. This is absurd. All this hassle for a tenth of a cent per click? Enough.
This doesnt work I do that for all my videos and just writing "i made the song blabla" isnt proof enough for there youtube bots that pull your videos for shit u own, They disabled a video that i have 100% rights for, a beat i made on fruityloops and they said That i need to provide proof, would a fawking flp file be proof enough? they probl wont even know what to do with it, i quite frankly dont care, fawk youtube. it sucks
Its pathetic. I've had the same problem. I can understand youtube taking precautions, but I don't see how its possible for an unsigned artist to get their videos approved. I submitted my videos with a link to my site and even the isrcs for each track and the upc barcode for the album each track comes from, and they've still been removed from monetization saying its not 'adequate documentation'. Im not going to try again as i don't want to get my videos completely removed.
WTF. Youtube has not only rejected monetization for my vid which was ENTIRELY self produced including music, but has also suspended my adsense. WTF do I actually do next?
This isn't just a joke, this is f*cking pathetic. You do what they say in this video and they f*ck you over regardless.
@ernzzz Also I use the Spanish version of youtube, so some of the info they ask for is wrong and confusing/meaningless due to bad translation.. So I dont even know in what languaje should I speak (I write it both in English and Spanish, but been denied 5 times so far).. It's funny because another video i have got aproved the first time, with a very focking short description, seriously, it was an ass description i did, like "this is one of my compositions" nothing else..
I don't want to get my video banned for resubmitting too many time, but why can't they accept that its something I made (wrote, performed, edited)!? damn internet bureaucracy
@brandonlamarmusic I ended up giving a note saying that exact thing (in a less vulgar way, of course) but they accepted it since I used a signature I drew and took from Windows Paint... hah.
They wanted a signature I suppose so that they can get back at you if you are found to be lying. I happily supplied them with a "Wtf, I own all the rights what's the dealio?" letter and signed it (with a real signature) and they approved the video finally. -shrugs-
@BeyondBracelets Ooooh, i see.... I still think their system is heavily flawed though. Too many stories of people with original content being harassed by youtube about their own content and having monetization disabled. And what did you sign? something you typed up yourself?
@brandonlamarmusic Yeah... I never had this issue before so I'm not sure how flawed it is. I posted about 140 videos before I had one flag up.
I just typed out a "Dear Youtube, I have no idea why my video rights are being questioned. I own all of the audio, visuals and even photography and graphics shown in the video." and signed it with the signature I had drawn with the tablet. I was ghetto about it and did it all in paint then sent them the main file, haha.
@BeyondBracelets You ever had monetization removed from any of your videos? it happened to 2 of my videos yesterday. COMPLETELY Self produced and original and they said "because i didnt provided "adequate proof of rights" wtf is adequate proof when im the creator??? I swear, they are out to get me for some reason.
@brandonlamarmusic Well, with my I do 'crafts' and stuff so it was easier to prove I suppose. With music I guess the best you can do is possibly make a video explaining "Hey, I am the guy in these videos. I am making the music - and add in some of you playing something. then if you are producing it, show you producing stuff... I don't really know what they look for with musicians but I guess you should take it as a compliment. It must mean you seem to good to be true. =P
Okay, this apparently isn't enough for youtube. I re-submitted a concert performance of a tune I own the rights to and added all the info listed in this clip - and today got the message that it was rejected *again*. And I am supposed to go to google /support/youtube to submit the missing documents.
1. WHAT MISSING DOCUMENTS??? Accordig to this vid. I submitted all that was needed. PLS MORE DETAILS!
2. Where - on the named page - can I resubmit the tune? There is no function there!
Where do I find the revenue options page? I own the copyright to my original song and the vid was shot by my mom and vid made by my mom. My channel is in my Dad's name and ran by my parents and me, because I'm 15. So why was I denied monetize on my vid. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks
We own an indie label & the rights to use the music, images, etc. In fact, I am ONE of the artists on the label - Today we received an email stating we have had revenue sharing disabled for a bunch of videos because it was not substantiated that we had the proper rights.
This shows what we already filled in when we 'shared' and 'monetized', so who do we talk to to get the revenue sharing back on the videos?
We own the rights to the music, etc. and in many cases created the content ourselves.
Ah, just what I needed - I got monetisation of an old concert video of myself turned off, aparently because I didn't say the *exact* right things. Kewl.
@TheYuGiOhCards Okay, thanks. :) Most of the videos on my channel do use material from other people in some way or another, so they don't get submitted, of course, but in this case I really do own the full rights. :)
@ElizabethSouth Ah, yes - of course! I was looking only because I was being approved for individual revenue sharing and this was the video they sent me to. However, my videos got approved for sharing! So all is good! Thank you! Blessings. :-)
