I am confused, what is the actual solution? Just keep trying? I most have done it over 50 times now. I am running an Iphone 3gs on 3.1.2. Please give me some advide!
I purchased a dedicated itouch charger and cured all my probs after returning it twice and dicovering that usb cables didn't charge it at all !! Mine was stuck in recovery mode too.
I have a problem where when I use the blackra1n, my ipod tells me it needs to be connected to iTunes and doesn't change the screen..the only way to fix that is to either resync my iPod or to turn it on and off...but when I do that it just brings it back to how it was...how can I fix this (4.2.1 iOS)
@yunghotboi84 If Geohot's face is not showing it won't work. Happened to a friend's 3GS, the solution is the same, keep trying. If the black/light screen shows up press the HOME + SLEEP botton till it restart. Try this till the picture appears.

I had it going over night. It completed 25 boots, but then ran out of power. Started over now... this is the problem you get when you reset network settings right...?
@jangerhard2 @jangerhard2 Not necessarily when the networks settings are reseted. It can happen anytime you reboot the device doesn't matter what you've done before that. Actually, you'll have to reset the networks settings everytime it gets off from the rebooting loop, I mean, when you get off from this loop ur iPhone will probably boot on "Safe Mode"
@jangerhard2 and a message will pop up giving you the option to "Restart" go ahead and press it ( It'll only respring, not reboot ) then ur wallpaper will show again and the "Safe Mode" will be off.
@jangerhard2 After that you'll probably be with NO WIFI and then you'll have to reset the networks settings ( Yes, it'll reboot the device now ), you shouldn't get stuck on the loop thing again ( at least it didn't happened to me ). So, answering ur question: No, it's not caused by the network settings reset, it's caused by the rebooting thing and to reset the networks settings it's got reboot the device, so one thing takes to another.
Good luck with ur device and don't give up, it'll work.
It took me like 200 or 250 tries with blackra1n but it finally worked. I think that's the only resonable solution. Just belive Geohot and i'll work :)
I do not get GEOHOT picture when I got into recovery mode.
I have did all the steps of downloading and fix of ASL.
I have a 4.3.5 ipod touch 4g.

I know all about the safe-mode, but this happened friday when i reset the settings. Still haven't fixed it, tried about everything.
