Short, concise and great video! I planted 24 roses of different varieties in the spring of 2009 with my little Son. This year, only 2 didn't come back, so I replaced them. The rest are doing fantastic in no small part to videos like yours here! I never knew that about the aphids - simply spraying them off with water. Thank you, guys! :)
@handsometall28 - I dug oversized holes deep enough for the rose buckets (what the roses come in) to be buried ½ inch below the soil, and, at three-feet apart. Once I made sure of this, I placed some potting soil "all around the buckets" and then saturated them so they'd be sturdy in the ground, adding more potting soil as needed as it packed. Then, I watered them every day for a week to insure that they don't dry out. Compost can also be used instead of nutrient-rich potting soil. :)
Thank you very much for your quick response. I will try that this spring. There are some red roses that look like knock out roses but the leaves are different and I don't know what they are called. which we love and like to prune. Hopefully they work.

Is it true that YOU are NOT suppose to get the leaves wet when watering your roses?.
