  • I liked the part where they said pa.

  • poor Mozart. he looks so close to death at the very beginning of this clip (i know that he's dying), but i can't help it. when i see him like that it just makes me want to fall to my knees and cry.

  • I laughed when I saw them going "Pa, pa, pa pa pa pa, paa pa, papaa.." xD

  • schlecht und lw

  • schlecht

  • Me encanta esta escena de la pelicula!

  • i watched this movie in music~we finish it yesterday lol....i loved it...but it was sad cause Salerie is in tht mental hospital...and how mozart dies ~spoiler alert~ >.<

  • brilliant movie

  • mozart is cool

  • YAY!! Thank youuuu!!! I have been looking for that clip for like... 30 minutes. haha no jokee

  • Hah, I love this. A grown man dressed as a greeen chicken playing a chandelier. You can't get better than that.

  • Of course, the actors in this motion picture DID NOT sing it ( it was voiced over by professional opera singers )!

  • @RSTAR2009 And can't they be professional opera singers?

  • Looks like fucking Zoobilee Zoo!

  • @phineasgauge69 I'm sorry but coming from a person that actually searched out this video....this is fucking hilarious.

  • Whats up with the tuning?

  • My first thought when I saw this movie was "Why the eff are they birds??" I don't think I've seen Papagena and Papageno dressed like that ever. Papageno at least looked completely normal in our production! lol

  • Because Papageno was a bird catcher, he was naturally disguised as a bird and used his magic flute to seduce the most beautiful birds.

  • just as Boerenfox said, Papageno dresses as a bird usually as a disguise to catch birds. Papagena dresses as a bird to complement him. Neither one is a bird.

  • Such amazing singers...wish they would have used these for the english productions of The Magic Flute. It would be so much better then :D

  • I would have given anything to see the original preiemere of the opera in 1791 :)

  • este pedazo esta muy chulo

  • excelente!!! hasta hoy..siempre venia a buscar ese pedazo de esa opera..es la q mas me gusto!!! gracias por publicarlo!!!

  • Thanks a lot!!! I think they're best too!!!

By the way, you're from Spain? I'll be in Madrid from 05.08. until 13.08. for my holidays, can't wait!!! :-) Cheers!

  • Yes! I'm from spain! But i went to Edimbrugh since 3ird of august until 23th, studying english, and i have red now your comment :( Sorry. i hope you enjoied spain.

    Thanks!!!

  • read* lol

  • Yes, it is! I thinks are the best voices for this duet i never hear.

Well, I have been investigated. This is information from IMDB:

Simon Callow is Papageno in 'Magic Flute'

Lisabeth Bartlett is Papagena in 'Magic Flute'

  • Those are the actors, but I doubt that they're the singers. Especially Simon Callow. He's a fabulous actor, though, he was the original Mozart in the West End in the original production of Amadeus.

  • Fantastic, just wonderful! Do you know who gave the voices here?
