Sawyer's expression in this is so intense, and when she kept saying she loved him before she fell...damn. No t.v. series has EVER made me as emotional as Lost has.
The trail of blood coming from her mouth disappears at 3:02; this goof slightly ruins the scene for me. However Elizabeth's acting was brilliant here :)
Time ago I lost my girl to an illness. The scene in this series is amongst the most accurate perceptions of such event I have ever seen. It isn't gentle, it's realistic.... It's over, you scream and yell and the only thing you need and want to tell to your partner is that you love them. I barely managed to keep myself together during this scene..

You can't even use the oft-cited excuse that you're in another country, since the final season aired concurrently all over the world. This scene is so great though. Josh Holloway ROCKED it. His best scene by far.I much prefer this scene to the one in the cages where he got beat up. Because then it was all about Kate. Sawyer had no lines. And Liz Mitchell is a great actress. But Josh even outshines her in this scene.
Of the female characters Juliet was my fave along with Danielle Russo and Eloise Hawking. The funny part is Danielle and especially Eloise had so little screentime. Sun is my favorite of the Losties. But that's not saying much. Seriously ,the female characters on this show were pretty lame. I liked Juliet because she had so many layers. There were times I couldn't stand her. And there were times I loved her.

I think it was somewhere around the episode where she has an affair with Goodwin, when Ben seems to be in love with her, when I started to like her. By season 5, she was one of my favs...then she died...Yay Lost. Oh how so many of my favorites died on this show.

The bomb didn't explode, no idea why ..something just didn't work and she was lying nearly dead down there, desperate, dying so she wanted to -at least- help the others and make this whole thing explode. 1:13 where the music swells - their hands are just locked together - you just know its going to be over for Juliet and its painful to watch. Then as they says their goodbyes, the music just dying down, thats where the tears starting coming - its just all so sudden - compared to all the other character deaths this hits you out of nowhere and leaves you stunned, lost for words, and you realised just how much we've come to care and love Juliet even though she started out as one of the Others.

I will always remember this as the one time in Lost that I was literally bawling my eyes out. There were a lot of other times that made me cry and tear up, but Juliet dying (even though she really survived until the season 6 premiere) combined with Sawyer's desperation and despair made me lose it. Fantastic scene and fantastic acting by both Josh and Elizabeth.

ok i love this show and this scene was intense but just everything about it didnt make sense... first theres no physical way she could be alive after that fall, she would be a smear of blood, second in the season premiere she was still alive... so basically she survived a 100 foot drop and a nuke exploding next to her, lastly what the hell did the nuke even do?
@narutoisgay666 I agree about the fall but technically the nuke didn't go off next to her. She hit it 8 times so it would detonate but as soon as she did she and every other survivor was flashed back to 07 and in 1977 the nuke went off creating the Incident which led to the Swan being built, the button, Desmond not pushing the button and their plane crashing.
The nuke did what Faraday wanted it to do. It canceled out the energy that got released or it would have eventually sucked in the whole Island and destroyed the world. The Island kept Juliet alive for this. That's what Desmond did in the Season2 finale too, time traveling spiritually, not physically like the Lost characters did after this. After all this, a slowly building leak of the Swan energy still required the computer protocol, energy needed for Dharma experiments

I'm naming my little girl after Juliet. She's one one of my favourite characters in the show and one of my faves ever!
I've never ever cried so much when they killed her off!!! I hated the fact they kept showing her dying the first few episodes of the next series. I nearly made me fall out with Lost.

@CsiMiamiLover09 I don't know exactly but probably because she knew he couldn't help her and she didn't wanted Sawyer to fall down with her, to die too.
The bomb didn't explode, no idea why ..something just didn't work and she was lying nearly dead down there, desperate, dying so she wanted to -at least- help the others and make this whole thing explode. Save their lives, get them from the island, protect them from it and so on.That's what I think. Hope I helped you ;)

1:13 where the music swells - their hands are just locked together - you just know its going to be over for Juliet and its painful to watch. Then as they says their goodbyes, the music just dying down, thats where the tears starting coming - its just all so sudden - compared to all the other character deaths this hits you out of nowhere and leaves you stunned, lost for words, and you realised just how much we've come to care and love Juliet even though she started out as one of the Others.

The Sawyer/Juliet scene before she fell tore my heart into little pieces, and the scene where Juliet detonates the bomb was one of the most intense things I've ever seen. Elizabeth Mitchell and Juliet FTW.

Me and my sister were watching this late at night and everyone was sleeping so we couldn't make a lot of noise, but we wanted to scream "NOOOOO!!!!!" So we were just jumping around squealing and trying to be quiet... then we said, if Juliet is dead, no more lost for us. She's our fav.

I will always remember this as the one time in Lost that I was literally bawling my eyes out. There were a lot of other times that made me cry and tear up, but Juliet dying (even though she really survived until the season 6 premiere) combined with Sawyer's desperation and despair made me lose it. Fantastic scene and fantastic acting by both Josh and Elizabeth.

This is some of the best writing and acting put together I have EVER seen on TV or otherwise in my life! So beautifully acted, scripted, and executed. And I LOVE JULIET!!! she's 100 times better than Kate, had Kate fallen in that hole they'd still be stuck in 197-something and dead for sure ;)

ok i love this show and this scene was intense but just everything about it didnt make sense... first theres no physical way she could be alive after that fall, she would be a smear of blood, second in the season premiere she was still alive... so basically she survived a 100 foot drop and a nuke exploding next to her, lastly what the hell did the nuke even do?

@narutoisgay666 I agree about the fall but technically the nuke didn't go off next to her. She hit it 8 times so it would detonate but as soon as she did she and every other survivor was flashed back to 07 and in 1977 the nuke went off creating the Incident which led to the Swan being built, the button, Desmond not pushing the button and their plane crashing.

The nuke did what Faraday wanted it to do. It canceled out the energy that got released or it would have eventually sucked in the whole Island and destroyed the world. The Island kept Juliet alive for this. That's what Desmond did in the Season2 finale too, time traveling spiritually, not physically like the Lost characters did after this. After all this, a slowly building leak of the Swan energy still required the computer protocol, energy needed for Dharma experiments
