Thanks for the guide, the spawn points and positioning of detonator mines really got me through the game. Just got my foam finger this morning =D
In Chap.13, the second floor of the red room (where you placed 3 mines and ran through), in my case a slasher appeared from the right and I just managed to run past it but have to turn around to statis it or it would have caught up to me. Thought you might consider putting in an annotation here to warn others.
This was a very helpful guide. Although there were some things I did my own way (never bought the force gun), I used a lot of your methods to get past tricky areas. Just got the platinum today!
I cant tell what the hell your were doing at the marker fight, a little description would have been nice. Line mines? Contact? Its just an orange mess to me.

I feel like a tool:/ the part before the quarantine doors... I thought the enemies were unlimited (that they never stopped coming) so next time try hacking that panel while being hounded by pukers/lurkers on hardcore... It's difficult:P
Thanks for walkthrough video. I finally beat hardcore and got its achievement (I got xbox360). I also let go of plasma cutter just before the eye poke machine. I did not really upgrade my weapons fully before the final battle, but your video and my skills make up for it. Just suffered 2 deaths. I still kept more than 50 items in storage and never used those.......

One shot away from beating the entire game on hardcore and I die...FUUUuuuck...Was doing it signature style with perfect plasma cutter/line gun combo but my down fall was using contact beam to stasis/rip apart the hordes of angry black kids. @marcus11411 Ouch well i'm in exact same spot m8. I saved part way through chap 11 pos of str with uber pro item stash and insanely upgraded weaponry, full RIG incl TK and uber full stasis. Uber meaning awesome:D I think I should be able to get from here to the ending though as my previous save was chap 8 with much items/weaponry at my command and I made it to drill bit and died. Anyway I was tired as fuck and wanted save so did chap 11. Nothin illegal goin on here officamacirrrr I swear itsz!11
@SN011GlobeTrot Well good luck with that, sounds like u have plenty to get you through. I think im going 2 do another run from the beggining and use the disc switch glitch, as last time i didn't realize there was one and saved just before the tripod part in ch.7. This time i'll use my 1st save where i used my 2nd save just before the stalker part in ch.9, then i'll have 2 saves to work with from here and i'll probably use my last save at the start of ch.13 or just before the eye poke machine.
I saved at the area RIGHT before the "red room" (at about 18:50) and I had only poked inside before I saved.
Well, I died on that try...
Now I reload it...but all the old enemies magically respawn (the babies, etc) and every time I open the door an endless wave of Necros comes out. If I back away from the door, they turn invincible and run off into the vents.
Worse, I have sheer-red level life and no ammo... -___-
I just beat it! Foam of death here I come! All i used was force gun plasma cutter and contact beam. It would be a shame if they didn't make a dead space 3.

I followed your gameplay until chapter 12 after that i was so much feeded that i tanked the last chapters with force gun and mass healings xD I think that after final boss i still had more than 100.000 credits and full inventory of magazines and great healings. lol
yeah these guys walkthrough is pretty weak. i cleared it with plasma and force gun. no dlc or pre order extras. true you dont get force gun til chapter 7. but really the necros arent shit until you get to chapte 9. meaning that good use of stasis and a little acuracy you can clear chapter 1-6 wiht just plasma cutter

@mzm828 Not to speak for him, but he saved ammo in all the early chapters. So when he got to the later chapters he had a large amount of reserve ammo, if you have plenty of ammo its easier to use it then to keep using TK. There's no point in ending the game with 80 line gun shots in your inventory.
@Faugh666 for me, I know EXACTLY what's in each room. I just simply upgrade rig/stasis and contact beam alt fire, and use bloody force gun, contact beam, forged plasma, and forged line gun for nests/distant shots. I never used my contact beam until the eye poke machine, and I saved at different spots. So I guess the only similarities in wolfwood's and my runs is the fact that we both know what's in every room, what necromorph is going to spawn where and stuff.

I did recommend way back in Chapter 2 to consider getting the first two HP upgrades if you don't feel comfortable with the base amount, since it only costs 3 nodes.

Wolfwood824 I need help dude. On 18:50 I die , I try running like you do but they all come out in that room or the next, and it's really hard. One thing I noticed, you use 4 guns. I only use the Javelin Gun. I get more ammo and I'm like a perfect marksman with that gun. I don't know how I'm going to do that part, and then after that I have to kill the brute, FML! lol

@H1TM4N760 get the contact beam and upgrade it till the Special ability. That way if you alt fire it, you will do a lot of damage, and stasis them at the same time.
@H1TM4N760 Don't deal with all of them on the top levels. The brute is easy, actually every big necromorph is easy, because there's only one of them. If I were you, try to get an exploder's arm down there, it will most likely kill it in one shot. Found that out on accident, lol. But if you have a Contact beam, use that to kill brutes. Only javelin... shoot at the shoulders and alt fire maybe? only used the javelin in my first run.

@KevvlFan hey if you havent beat the game on hardcore yet you should save at the part before you have to run from the regenerating necromorph for the last time its a great place to save
God! I just made a huge mistake = =. used up all my save on chapter 8. now i am at chapter 12. and i am pissed. i mean..............how am i supposed to restart if i died lol. should of save at chapter 12 instead of 8
@KevvlFan I did same thing then made it all the way to drill bit and died. Unlike for wolfy here, the lurker shots couldn't stop hitting meh sirrr.So my advice to you is to go back and start from first hardcore save you made. If however you saved in some gay patch like chap 2 then don't bother unless your confident enough to run that chapter 2 up to 8 on one life. If you good nough to do that then you should have no problem then SOOON
Great walkthrough and gameplay man :-) Thanks to you I found that the Ripper is actually quite handy and now I prefer it over the Plasma Cutter. 1st - it's great at crowd control, 2nd - I think that fully upgraded is better than PC :-) Anyways for me, the Hard to the Core Mode took like almost 4 days. The embarrasing thing is that I messed up two times at the end with this stupid flight thing Oo That's like 3 hours back in time XD Anyway great work bro ;-)

One really important question. At the last debris can you go to the right instead of going through? Beacuse that where i die on hardcore always. Fucking end and i die. By the way the best weapon for the last fight is the JAVELIN. With special upgrade of course. 1 shot and Nicole disappears and can shot the heart. 2 more times and you are done+the pack of enemies are also disappearing with Nicole.
Thank you so much I really got stuck on all of this. It kinda threw me off actually because i didn't watch your first part so I didn't buy or upgrade the Line gun and Detonator. So, I bought the Line gun Upgraded It which actually screwed me over because I was using the Line guns Primary fire against the markers heart so I just went back to the Seeker rifle which I upgraded from the beginning , because it came with the Severed DLC I didn't know it came with all that shit though . Bro you are a master at this game, I'm struggling with this game even in survivalist mode. I can't get past chapter 13 for some reason, it's quite hard for me. I got up to finishing Chapter 12 then I stopped playing ever since. Any tips??

Wolfwood.. Can you tell me how did you kill the marker's heart so quickly? I am using the same line gun bomb as you are doing to attack the ghost of the girl and using the alt fire for force gun.. yet I still got killed at the end because she came too close to me.. Did u use the alt fire of force gun?
No, I didn't use the Force Gun at all there; just the Line Gun and Contact Beam.
Do you have your Line Gun's ALT stat maxed? I'm not sure exactly how many upgrades it takes (haven't tested it), but I know for sure one maxed-out Line Gun mine on Nicole will reveal the core instantly.
As you see in the video, I just use 1 Line Gun mine on Nicole, 2 Contact Beam shots on the core, and repeat 2 more times (6 Contact Beam shots on the core kills it).
@Wolfwood824 Thanks man I been using alt fire from force gun.. I been at this for 2 hours and keep dying at the end =( I was using the fully upgraded mine from line gun on Nicole and she died instantly but damn froce gun didn't do anything!.. but I will use the contact bean now.. I never used that gun before.. Hopefully works! Oh and one more thing! did you use the primary shot or secondary?
@Joe4KDragon0818 I find it strange that people actually found Nicole to be so difficult. I personally thought she was the easiest boss throughout the game. I personally used the Contact Beam on her and was done within 10 seconds... and this was on Hardcore.
In a normal run, there are only 4 suits available to purchase (Engineering Suit in CH1, Security Suit in CH4, Vintage Suit in CH8, Advanced Suit in CH11), and each new suit has more slots and armor than the last, so it's very simple to figure out.
You can see how many slots and armor a suit gives before you buy it by looking at its description in the Store.

i thought i had no chance, as i had used my last save at the start of chapter 11 and really regreted it but i managed to make it to chapter 15 and was getting through it no trouble and i thought i was actually going to do it until i ran out of ammo and died here, 36:18, CRAP!

@marcus11411 Ouch well i'm in exact same spot m8. I saved part way through chap 11 pos of str with uber pro item stash and insanely upgraded weaponry, full RIG incl TK and uber full stasis. Uber meaning awesome:D I think I should be able to get from here to the ending though as my previous save was chap 8 with much items/weaponry at my command and I made it to drill bit and died. Anyway I was tired as fuck and wanted save so did chap 11. Nothin illegal goin on here officamacirrrr I swear itsz!11

I think im going 2 do another run from the beggining and use the disc switch glitch, as last time i didn't realize there was one and saved just before the tripod part in ch.7. This time i'll use my 1st save where i used my 2nd save just before the stalker part in ch.9, then i'll have 2 saves to work with from here and i'll probably use my last save at the start of ch.13 or just before the eye poke machine.

OMG this is BULL. CRAP.
I saved at the area RIGHT before the "red room" (at about 18:50) and I had only poked inside before I saved.
Well, I died on that try...
Now I reload it...but all the old enemies magically respawn (the babies, etc) and every time I open the door an endless wave of Necros comes out. If I back away from the door, they turn invincible and run off into the vents.
Worse, I have sheer-red level life and no ammo... -___-
WTF do I do?? I can not make it through here...

yeah these guys walkthrough is pretty weak. i cleared it with plasma and force gun. no dlc or pre order extras. true you dont get force gun til chapter 7. but really the necros arent shit until you get to chapte 9. meaning that good use of stasis and a little acuracy you can clear chapter 1-6 wiht just plasma cutter

In the later levels, like this one, I realized you stopped using TK as often. It saves a LOT of ammo for the stalkers. why did you stop?

@mzm828 Not to speak for him, but he saved ammo in all the early chapters. So when he got to the later chapters he had a large amount of reserve ammo, if you have plenty of ammo its easier to use it then to keep using TK. There's no point in ending the game with 80 line gun shots in your inventory.

@Faugh666 for me, I know EXACTLY what's in each room. I just simply upgrade rig/stasis and contact beam alt fire, and use bloody force gun, contact beam, forged plasma, and forged line gun for nests/distant shots. I never used my contact beam until the eye poke machine, and I saved at different spots. So I guess the only similarities in wolfwood's and my runs is the fact that we both know what's in every room, what necromorph is going to spawn where and stuff.

Of course. I put my last save before the drill and I make it all the way to Nicole with no problems. I beat her, with no problems. THEN OF COURSE I DIE IN THE LAST ESCAPE SEQUENCE WHERE YOU HAVE TO DODGE THE DEBRIS!!!! Damn, here we go again.......

I only use the Javelin Gun. I get more ammo and I'm like a perfect marksman with that gun. I don't know how I'm going to do that part, and then after that I have to kill the brute, FML! lol

@H1TM4N760 get the contact beam and upgrade it till the Special ability. That way if you alt fire it, you will do a lot of damage, and stasis them at the same time.

@H1TM4N760 Don't deal with all of them on the top levels. The brute is easy, actually every big necromorph is easy, because there's only one of them. If I were you, try to get an exploder's arm down there, it will most likely kill it in one shot. Found that out on accident, lol. But if you have a Contact beam, use that to kill brutes. Only javelin... shoot at the shoulders and alt fire maybe? only used the javelin in my first run.

Unlike for wolfy here, the lurker shots couldn't stop hitting meh sirrr.So my advice to you is to go back and start from first hardcore save you made. If however you saved in some gay patch like chap 2 then don't bother unless your confident enough to run that chapter 2 up to 8 on one life. If you good nough to do that then you should have no problem then SOOON

Great walkthrough and gameplay man :-) Thanks to you I found that the Ripper is actually quite handy and now I prefer it over the Plasma Cutter. 1st - it's great at crowd control, 2nd - I think that fully upgraded is better than PC :-) Anyways for me, the Hard to the Core Mode took like almost 4 days. The embarrasing thing is that I messed up two times at the end with this stupid flight thing Oo That's like 3 hours back in time XD Anyway great work bro ;-)

One really important question. At the last debris can you go to the right instead of going through? Beacuse that where i die on hardcore always. Fucking end and i die. By the way the best weapon for the last fight is the JAVELIN. With special upgrade of course. 1 shot and Nicole disappears and can shot the heart. 2 more times and you are done+the pack of enemies are also disappearing with Nicole.

Thank you so much I really got stuck on all of this. It kinda threw me off actually because i didn't watch your first part so I didn't buy or upgrade the Line gun and Detonator. So, I bought the Line gun Upgraded It which actually screwed me over because I was using the Line guns Primary fire against the markers heart so I just went back to the Seeker rifle which I upgraded from the beginning , because it came with the Severed DLC I didn't know it came with all that shit though . Thanks for the vids! Friend recommended them. I stubbornly never used the line gun but I got by just using ripper detonator contact beam and force gun. Heck it might have been beneficial cuz i could never keep up with you on upgrading =P

Wolfwood.. Can you tell me how did you kill the marker's heart so quickly? I am using the same line gun bomb as you are doing to attack the ghost of the girl and using the alt fire for force gun.. yet I still got killed at the end because she came too close to me.. No, I didn't use the Force Gun at all there; just the Line Gun and Contact Beam.
Do you have your Line Gun's ALT stat maxed? I'm not sure exactly how many upgrades it takes (haven't tested it), but I know for sure one maxed-out Line Gun mine on Nicole will reveal the core instantly.
As you see in the video, I just use 1 Line Gun mine on Nicole, 2 Contact Beam shots on the core, and repeat 2 more times (6 Contact Beam shots on the core kills it).

I been at this for 2 hours and keep dying at the end =( I was using the fully upgraded mine from line gun on Nicole and she died instantly but damn froce gun didn't do anything!.. but I will use the contact bean now.. I never used that gun before.. Hopefully works! Oh and one more thing! did you use the primary shot or secondary?

I'm guessing you have DLC or something?
In a normal run, there are only 4 suits available to purchase (Engineering Suit in CH1, Security Suit in CH4, Vintage Suit in CH8, Advanced Suit in CH11), and each new suit has more slots and armor than the last, so it's very simple to figure out.
You can see how many slots and armor a suit gives before you buy it by looking at its description in the Store.
