Not too fast, the version often heard at weddings etc. is being played much to slow and in defiance to the scoring written by JS Bach. This tempo is fine here. Perhaps several of the violins/voices sound slightly out but when played in together it's a wonderful interpratation and probably brings tremendous joy to those involved which is most important. Sounds great to me! Guess those in disagreement should get rid of their cheap disposable speakers that came free with their $200.00 computer. I have a professionally installed and tuned digital processor, speakers and amps. Perfect on my rig!
A few people, who are probably tone deaf, make negative comments and nearly everyone else joins the band wagon. The violins are fine, as is the conducting and singing. This is a more than acceptable performance. Would love to see those criticising do better!
@cycheckmate true, i've been told i have a very high level of relative pitch (or absolute) and can't hear anything wrong with that. Now that is not to say i couldn't be wrong or anything. I loved it however so im satisfied :)

Alguien decía por ahí que le falta algo de sentimiento, yo diría que estoy de acuerdo...Está muy bien, pero lo veo un poco "muerto", la parte del crescendo se tendría que haber notado más precisamente eso, el crescendo, desde mi humilde opinión. ;)
I have heard this song played on all manner of instruments. Bach was a genius who apparently didn't know what instruments will be played, so he wrote his music to be effective on any instrument or group of instruments, which he succeeded.

es logico que el coro se desafine un poco debido a la inseguridad de los violines y la orquesta, me parece que hay mas empaste en las voces.un poco mas de ensayo y la obra se escucharà mejor, loable el atrevimiento.
La verdad es que hay gente que se aburre mucho... yo soy músico profesional y me parece fenomenal que la gente cante, lo haga mejor o peor. Y que yo sepa no hacen daño a nadie colgándolo en internet.
Las opiniones siempre son muy respetables y si ayudan a mejorar, pues mejor que mejor. De todas formas, como miembro integrante del grupo de coros, pues no es solo uno, sino varios, debo aclarar algunos detalles:
1. En el grupo de coros somos todos aficionados, nadie se gana la vida cantando, solo por placer.
2. El director, en este caso, tampoco se dedica profesionalmente, y los únicos profesionales aquí son los músicos de la Orquesta de Cámara.
Lamentable es escuchar una interpretación tan deficiente de una obra que no resulta ser compleja, pero que independiente a ello se requiere de mucha técnica vocal para lograr las exigencias melódicas de Bach. Ni hablar de la dirección, realmente pésima y se denota inseguridad en lo que realiza. No se visualiza fraseo y menos presencia vocal del coro, sinceramente creo que es una verdadera mofa a una obra tan reconocida y emblemática en el repertorio coral.

Sí, el coro entra antes de tiempo. O al menos según la partitura que yo he estudiado y cantado.
Alguien decía por ahí que le falta algo de sentimiento, yo diría que estoy de acuerdo...Está muy bien, pero lo veo un poco "muerto", la parte del crescendo se tendría que haber notado más precisamente eso, el crescendo, desde mi humilde opinión. ;)

I have heard this song played on all manner of instruments. Bach was a genius who apparently didn't know what instruments will be played, so he wrote his music to be effective on any instrument or group of instruments, which he succeeded.

okropieństwo!!! to brzmi jakby ten dyrygent był absolutnie głuchy, o chórze już nie wspomnę. słuchając tego mam wrażenie że to odgłosy z kurnika się wydostają. katastrofalne wykonanie.

algo suena DESAFINADO....hace unas semanas cante esta cantata en el coro del Conservatorio de Musica donde estudio. Y no sonamos asi para nada!

es logico que el coro se desafine un poco debido a la inseguridad de los violines y la orquesta, me parece que hay mas empaste en las voces.un poco mas de ensayo y la obra se escucharà mejor, loable el atrevimiento.

La verdad es que hay gente que se aburre mucho... yo soy músico profesional y me parece fenomenal que la gente cante, lo haga mejor o peor. Y que yo sepa no hacen daño a nadie colgándolo en internet.
La música es mucho más que una competición...

Las opiniones siempre son muy respetables y si ayudan a mejorar, pues mejor que mejor. De todas formas, como miembro integrante del grupo de coros, pues no es solo uno, sino varios, debo aclarar algunos detalles:
1. En el grupo de coros somos todos aficionados, nadie se gana la vida cantando, solo por placer.
2. El director, en este caso, tampoco se dedica profesionalmente, y los únicos profesionales aquí son los músicos de la Orquesta de Cámara.

Lamentable es escuchar una interpretación tan deficiente de una obra que no resulta ser compleja, pero que independiente a ello se requiere de mucha técnica vocal para lograr las exigencias melódicas de Bach. Ni hablar de la dirección, realmente pésima y se denota inseguridad en lo que realiza. No se visualiza fraseo y menos presencia vocal del coro, sinceramente creo que es una verdadera mofa a una obra tan reconocida y emblemática en el repertorio coral.
