Congratulations, you own my all-time dream car, not just a 1970 Boss 429 with Hurst shifter, but also in Grabber Blue-so jealous. Love at 2:00 you can tell whomever is holding the camera that the acceleration took them back :)
ok found it. heartbroken when I couldn't hear it. GM fan but like all muscle and always have been curious about this car particularly. the engines look so cool... shh, but maybe cooler than the chrystle hemi. good vid, thanks
My dad has one almost identical, a 70, Grabber Blue, no louvers though. The 70's are much more rare, it's nice to see one ripping it up. These cars were rated at 375hp but actually had closer to 570hp. I've drove it myself and these cars are the best mustang ever produced!
Stock they had a mild cam, small carb, and a smog pump. Remember after Kar Kraft developed it (and moved the shock towers 2 inches outward to fit the big powerplant) they had to pass the usual tests to make sure it's street friendly and stuff from Ford.I really doubt 570hp in stock tune.... I would say it's a probable figure with open headers, a single plane intake, big cam, and dumping the smog pump.
@ChevelleSSLS6 Smog pump only if in California, also the first few hundred came with the wrong valve springs and wouldnt operate correctly past 4500rpm. They wouldnt fix this until 1970. Their actually horsepower range was in the mid 400 to high 400 range once the valve spring problem was solved and opened up. But because of all these problems and the cost the 426 HEMI still rained supreme on and off the track.
Nice Production, give me more. That machine is superlative muscle personnified. I would seriously love to gobble up some acres behind the wheel of that Nuclear Powered Pony. Wow wee Wow!
so rare and expensive ,I would be scared to drive it.

I love the Grabber Blue with white interior! Most of these are rather plain in color choice, but this one is an exception!
