Because Kishi doesn't want to lose fans from making a decision like who Naruto is going to be with. Personally, I think Narusaku should happen. While Sakura was not intended to be the main heroine, she turned out to be. And as far as conventional stories go, the main hero always ends up with the main heroine. Hinata just isn't important enough plotwise to be with Naruto.

Hinata is not dead. I hate people that jump to conclusions without concrete proof or confirmation. If you read the Manga chapter, there is evidence that she is alive. For one, SHE WASN'T STABBED! Pain stabbed the ground and it clearly shows that in the comic. And I doubt she would be killed by the initial attack prior to that. On the other hand, I liked this tribute. Nice choice of music and comic panels. I just don't like jumping to drastic conclusions. She won't be missed cause shes not dead.
There was blood on the spike Pain used. And a spike hitting a rock would go "thunk" not "cstk" (that's roughly what sound kanji was). She was stabbed and Pain said that she was dead. I'm pretty sure he knows the difference.
Its cool. Im still changing on to the belief that she's alive for the time being. Also, I heard that the blood was Naruto's from earlier in battle. But I could be wrong either way. We'll just wait and see on Friday.

Well ComeOnAnBreakme, Kishimoto would've done it to add excitement to the Manga (I myself am a HUGE NaruHina fan) But yes, I guess there is a chance, or Naruto might not even be in a couple ^-^

Hinata is not dead. I hate people that jump to conclusions without concrete proof or confirmation. If you read the Manga chapter, there is evidence that she is alive. For one, SHE WASN'T STABBED! Pain stabbed the ground and it clearly shows that in the comic. And I doubt she would be killed by the initial attack prior to that. On the other hand, I liked this tribute. Nice choice of music and comic panels. I just don't like jumping to drastic conclusions. She won't be missed cause shes not dead.

There was blood on the spike Pain used. And a spike hitting a rock would go "thunk" not "cstk" (that's roughly what sound kanji was). She was stabbed and Pain said that she was dead. I'm pretty sure he knows the difference.

Its cool. Im still changing on to the belief that she's alive for the time being. Also, I heard that the blood was Naruto's from earlier in battle. But I could be wrong either way. We'll just wait and see on Friday.

woah woah...i dont want to get in the middle of this but...im a Hinata/naruhina fan too. Although i respect what they are saying. Most NaruSaku fans just trash on her...so have respect to them...they even made an amv about hinata. Not all narusaku fans are assholes.....but the majority of them are...the main point is that none of us hate Hinata and hope that she doesnt end up dying in 438 :)

It's bad enough to kill of Jiraiya and Kakashi, but to kill someone as good and kind as Hinata is just plain WRONG!

Naruto wouldn't end by killing their main Mowa character. (the shy type) they already killed a few mains off which sucks, but they have been building her character up so much that i don't think she will die.
But this video is great. :) They only showed her face in her 'death' so we don't really know what kind of condition she it in. D:

1) She was really behind in the power rank
2) There was no really room for her to develop her character
3) With Sakura taking an interest in Naruto, Hinata became useless for the plot

1) Sakura has healing abilities, super strength and a lot more of character development.
2) Hinata is pretty much the same in personality, just like Sakura
3) Wheather she takes and interest in Naruto because of that is irrelevant.
4) Kakashi is one of the most popular characters and he might be dead, Jiraiya was too and he'd dead.
5) Hinata is not a main character. Sakura is

2)Sakura isn't heartless. When she saw that Naruto was giving the Kyuubi control to get Sasuke back, she cried.
3)We don't know that. Until Sakura says something direct about her feelings towards Naruto, we can only guess at the reasons.
4)Sakura is my favorite character! No trashing her in front of me. I like NaruSaku better than NaruHina, but you don't see me slinging mud at Hinata for just existing.

1) Sakura wouldn't have lasted 2 seconds without the Sand's granny. 2) She cried because she noticed (well she's always noticed actually) her own huge weakness. That's all. And besides she's recently started "like" Naruto while Hinata 's always LOVED him.
3) She will never say sth because when Sasuke appears she will go by his side (I must admit sasusaku is nice)

Well Gaara died in the series. Yet hes still kicking now. So if she does die, someone better forfeit their life. Chiyo-basamma was already old so giving her life was the best thing she could do. We need another old character to give their life is someone dies. But i retain that we didnt see a close up of hinata getting stabbed, so she lives!!!
