@SEALATIS Well...you could find some like it in the math-rock genres, and definitely with some guitar virtuosos. As other people have said, Buckethead and Joe Satriani are good places to start.

There's a newer band called Adebisi Shank, and if you check out their second album, there's some in this vein on it. My first suggestions for them, just in general are "Logdrum" and "Colin Skehan". They're every bit as awesome as Ron Jenkees.
