I wonder how long it took to rehearse those exact lines that the little girl repeated back to Steve Martin. She certainly did an amazing job repeating every precise word back to him. Incredible memory and coordination she had to do that, which made that classic scene hilarious! An average little girl her age probably wouldn't be able to remember all that information in reality.
mejor diagnostico que un ojo de pescado, un diaignostico y prognostico neurlogico y sus posibles efectos segun la trayectoria de haberse golpeadol acabeza, esa ninlña si que sabe no que los de acordeon
Yeah whats with these quacks thinking they can do the same thing without the education and know how of an esteemed medical professional? Just stick to remembering things.
My brother and I watched this movie when it first came out-- we still to this day quote the movie extensively, and the main quotes are from the little girl exchange...
"Sounds like a subdural haematoma to me". "Oh! It does, does it. Well its not a subdural haematoma, its an epidural haematoma & its not your job to diagnose". Brilliantly scripted & utterly hilarious. Yesterday, tragically, Natasha Richardson died from an epidural haematoma following a skiing accident after her life-support machine was turned off.
"The Man With Two Brains" was for my money, at least, Steve Martin's funniest movie. It may be too zany for some people, but i thought it hysterically funny for the most part, & this clip was no exception. It also had the added bonus of Kathleen Turner at her sexiest.
I haven't seen "Trains, Planes & Automobiles", XMIR10B. It has received high praise on the IMDB website, & the next time it is televised i shall make a point of watching it. Another Steve Martin film i really liked was "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid", with its use of old thirties & forties movie film-clips spliced together. Clever & funny!.
I love "The Man With Two Brains." Other examples of Steve Martin's comic genius? I'm glad I asked. LA Story, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and, of course, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. He's a wild and crazy guy.
