i see where youre coming from, but the thing is i am a ref and i cant stand it when this happens
@NHLArchive no matter what a hit from behind is a penalty.. open ice or boards its an illegal hit... not bad enough to get suspended or fined... but at least a penalty

It is debateable, but i would say dirty hit also. he led with his shoulder but hit him from behind.
