When I was younger (10-12) I would hunt rabbit (for food) with a homemade sling shot, to give me a better chance of hitting I would use 4-6 pennies per shot. You can take the pennies and stack them on top of each other giving you a "shotgun" effect. You have to be a closer than you do with a single lead ball, I killed a my fair share of rabbits that way but then I got my .410 shotgun witch was much more effective.

I think you'd have a better effect with 100 bb's, rather than 10 ball bearings... the pattern was so poor, it makes it pretty useless.

Considering how much damage those projectiles can do to the targets, would the wooden hand guard really protect your hand from a misfire? I suppose that it could absorb some of the impact of a glancing blow and it's definitely better than no protection at all, but it still looks like you could end up with a pulverized hand. You're the expert, though.

@BAlpert The thick leather is impenetrable, I tested it, and it covers the entire back of my hand. The other wooden parts mainly protect me from the backlashing empty plastic pouch, which can't crack the wood.

@Mrappledeapp Basically, by taking a shirt and pulling it over the head, while slipping it over both arms. The procedure is finished by pulling the hem down. But watch out, there are four possible ways to wear it, only one is correct. The little white size tag should be inside, on the back :)

Ich denke das ist, was er meinte, auch wenn ich seinen Kommentar als sinnfrei empfinde. Wir müssen das "L" runder sprechen, nicht wie bei uns nur vorne am Gaumen. Und das "R" muss über die Zunge kommen, nicht Rachen. Dazu die Zunge ganz weit hinten am Gaumen berühren!

How do you form that Kydex pouch with the bulge? I've tried using a heat gun and it never works quite right right. Maybe we have different Kydex? You must have some technique

@mrdanisthename You have to use a wooden board with a hole drilled through, 2 mm larger than the ball. Then you heat up a patch of Kydex and press the ball in. Make sure the Kydex is loose enough. It will wrinkle up as the ball shape develops. Not a problem, after the bowl is finished you can flatten the wrinkles with heat and pressure.

@cappa37 He has a high speed camera. He uses it on several of his videos. It's a consumer level camera so it only goes up to 1200FPS and the resolution is kind of low. A higher end camera would be nice, but they are quite expensive.

So, tissue not used. May we assume the tissue bags did not work well? Dispersal has always been my defeat along with an impractical too short of a range with much smaller magnetized steel balls although my scattering was a tiny bit tighter. You have prodded me to do more research. Regardless, it was a fun video to watch as always. Thank you. Now get inside before you freeze and the rubber gets ruined. :)
