One of my pugs is now 13. Sometimes have a hard time walking. Trying to go "poop" is hard for him. His butt will fall in to the grass. Could not keep his balance when trying "to do his business!" :(
@lcirej71 Ours has the same problem. We got her a set of the eddies wheels shown here. She can do her business while in the wheels but I usually put her in the wheels more to go on walks with the rest of the dogs. They are not cheap but very well made and worth it if it helps her enjoy life.
wow, these are the most natural fitting set of wheels i have seen yet! i love the shake he does in the beginning, you can tell it feels wonderful on him!
We had a pug, Charlie, for 15 years. He spend the last few years in a Eddie's wheelcart. He was able to get around. We finally had to have him put to sleep at home. Pugs are such a joy to have. We now have a two year old female, Maggie Mae.
it's great that she can move around, rather than drag along :)... its great also that she found people like you that take good care of her :) well done :)
Im just wondering, are the dogs shoulder joints affected?? Ive always thought that when a dog in a harness slows down he/she is putting more pressure on those joints.
As long as there are no physical problems - arthritis or elbow dysplasia to begin with - we don't see problems. If dogs do have any issues in the front end, or cervical spine compressions, we engineer the cart to be neutral balanced so that the cart is weightless on the shoulders. But carrying this very lightweight cart on their shoulders is much less stressful than dragging their rear legs behind them.
So amazing, thank you Sonsini Animal Shelter!!!!!!
