I suggest you guys wait until the end of September. They will release a 2.0 that does not require soldering at all (no solder points either). This 2.0 will work with all PS3 both Fat and Slim and both NAND and NOR. Simply open Ps3, clip on the solderless clip to motherboard Spansion/Samsung chip, attach the configuration switch chip, close it up and Done.

@Gallen576 dont think that will happen because the downgrade method that the flasher contains remains the same even if updated.
